Tony Khan “can’t wait” to beat Smackdown next Friday with Rampage

Oct 9, 2021 - by Colin Vassallo

AEW President Tony Khan reacted to the news that Smackdown will go head-to-head with Rampage on Friday night for 30 minutes, telling WWE to bring it on.

Smackdown will air on FS1 next week instead of FOX but will run for two-and-a-half hours instead of the usual two, advertising it as a “Supersized” show.

“I saw you’re doing a half hour head-to-head with us. I can’t wait to finally beat your main show head-to-head,” Khan said.

“It’s been a long time coming. See you next Friday for #AEWRampage on @AEWonTNT,” Khan continued.

Smackdown has barely broken the one million viewer mark when it airs on FS1, getting less than half the audience it usually gets on FOX, making Khan more bullish about his claim.

  1. Some guy says:

    He’s such a money mark.

He wastes huge matches as quickly as he can and doesn’t give them resolution.

He’s letting his guys take shots at wwe constantly. (WWE ain’t innocent either, but aew is constant)

Aew is just such cringe. Wwe isn’t much better.

    Wrestling sucks nowadays

Umm, yeah ok. With all of his vast wrestling knowledge, right? Jesus, another dillusinal mark for attention, exactly like Dixie Carter. At least Eric Bischoff had experience I wrestling and knew how it worked. We’ll, in another 6 months, Vince will have more footage for the Peacock network, just like WCW lol. This time, he won’t be buying any contracts, because they’re all non money making failures Vince already fired! Lol!
