WWE Smackdown rating/viewership for last week

Friday’s live post-Clash at The Castle edition of WWE SmackDown drew an average of 2.367 million viewers on FOX, according to Nielsen, via Showbuzz Daily.

This final number is up 13.96% from the previous week’s final viewership of 2.077 million viewers for the taped Clash at The Castle go-home show.

Friday’s SmackDown drew a 0.57 rating in the key 18-49 demographic. This is up 16.32% from the previous week’s 0.49 rating. This past week’s 0.57 key demo rating represents 744,000 18-49 viewers, which is up 16.43% from the 639,000 18-49 viewers that the previous week’s 0.49 key demo rating drew, according to Wrestlenomics.

SmackDown ranked #1 in ratings for the key 18-49 demographic on network TV, even with the previous week’s #1 ranking, and the seven weeks before that. SmackDown ranked #2 in the 18-34 demo this week, down from the previous week’s #1 ranking. SmackDown ranked #1 in the 25-54 demo, even with the previous week’s #1 ranking, and the ten weeks before that. SmackDown came in at #5 for the night in viewership on network TV, which is down from the previous week’s #4 ranking. While SmackDown topped the night on network TV in the key demographic, 20/20 on ABC topped the night in viewership with 3.145 million viewers, also drawing a 0.32 key demo rating.

Friday’s SmackDown drew the second-highest total audience of the year so far, and was tied with two other episodes for the seventh-highest key demo rating of the year so far. SmackDown drew the highest total audience since June 17, and the highest key demo rating since July 22. Sports competition from Friday night included two airings of the US Open on ESPN, and College Football on ESPN2. Friday’s viewership was up 13.96% from the previous week’s episode, while the key demo rating was up 16.32% from the previous week’s episode.

Viewership for Friday’s SmackDown episode was down 0.67% from the same week in 2021, while Friday’s 18-49 key demo rating was down 12.30% from the same week in 2021. The 2021 episode was the Super SmackDown show.

The US Open Prime on ESPN topped the night on the Cable Top 150 with a 0.67 key demo rating. The tennis coverage on ESPN also topped the night on cable in viewership with 2.961 million viewers.

Friday’s live post-Clash at The Castle edition of SmackDown aired live from the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, WA, with the following line-up advertised ahead of time – Braun Strowman’s return to the blue brand, The Bloodline reunites with Solo Sikoa’s SmackDown debut, a Fatal 5 Way Elimination Match to determine Extreme Rules challenger for SmackDown Women’s Champion Liv Morgan with Ronda Rousey vs. Xia Li vs. Sonya Deville vs. Natalya vs. Lacey Evans, plus Hit Row and The Street Profits vs. Los Lotharios and Maximum Male Models. The main event ended up being Sikoa vs. Drew McIntyre.
