Over night numbers for AEW Rampage and WWE Smackdown on FS1

Oct 16, 2021 - by Steve Gerweck

Last night’s Supersized SmackDown took a major hit as expected, due to the show airing on FS1 instead of FOX. The 2.5 hour SmackDown drew an average of 793,000 viewers. This is down from last week’s 2.03 million viewers.

On the other hand, last night’s AEW Rampage drew 549,000 viewers. This is up from last week’s 466,000 viewers. Rampage’s viewership increased because this week’s episode was live, while the past few episodes were pre-taped.

And the Khan man was all hyped up about “beating their #1 show in the ratings”, referring to Smackdown, which isn’t even WWE’s #1 show. Yeah, far cry from it, and Smackdown didn’t even air on Fox. Good ambition, but they’re a long ways away from beating WWE’s two flagship shows head on.

As much as WWE’s product has slipped over the years, I knew this was going to happen. AEW “doesn’t care about the ratings,” except they won’t shut up abojt the ratings. Maybe this is what they need to actually stick to their word for the time being.

This is just Kahn being Kahn, but hopefully he’s got a nice slice of humble pie in the fridge. He’s gonna need it.

Tony Kahn should just embrace his inner bad boy and go by The Kahn Man. Holding false promises to fans and his wrestlers. Would really help get eyes over to AEW 🧐

How slanted of an opinion is the first two sentences of this story… No sh*t Sherlock FS1 is usually on a sports tier & doesn’t reach as many homes..
Glad to see the writer like uncle Dave are sucking on Khan’s c***.
WWE still beat AEW, AEW wants to win stop focusing on old wrestler. Invest in Allen & MJF true stars. Not on has beens

AEW’s programming is still by FAR better than anything WWE is doing.

when did WWE start standing for womens wrestling entertainment?? AEW far better product at this time don’t get me wrong i like womens wrestling but hey 1 match at a time not half the effin show its like watching midcarders in slow motion

Smackdown is actually considered the #1 show for WWE now, whereas Raw has become an abyss of bad/illogical booking and less than stellar matches. I just find it amusing that so many people will continue to defend WWE when they insult your intelligence each and every week.
