– In his early career, Cruz worked as Ben Dejo, often working as one half of Los Ben Dejos
– On April 17, 2010, Los Ben Dejos (Ben Dejo & Marty Con Dejo) defeated The Northeast All Stars (Eric Cooper & Simon Sez) to win the Vintage Tag Team Titles
– On May 22, Los Ben Dejos defeated The Heartbreak Express (Phil & Sean Davis) to retain the Vintage Tag Team Titles
– On June 19, Los Ben Dejos defeated The Northeast All Stars (Eric Cooper & Simon Sez) in an I Quit Match to retain the Vintage Tag Team Titles
