Simone Johnson, the daughter of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, has officially reported to the WWE Performance Center to begin training to be a WWE Superstar.

The 18-year-old is on her way to become a fourth generation WWE Superstar, following the footsteps of her grandfather High Chief Peter Maivia, her grandfather Rocky Johnson, and her father The Rock. She had short stints at the WWE PC over the last year while she was still in school but now she’s training full time at the state-of-the-art facility.

“It means the world to me,” Simone said. “To know that my family has such a personal connection to wrestling is really special to me and I feel grateful to have the opportunity, not only to wrestle, but to carry on that legacy.”

“Simone Johnson’s unbridled passion and incredible drive has earned her a coveted spot training with the elite athletes from around the world at the WWE Performance Center,” said Paul “Triple H” Levesque, Executive Vice President, Talent, Live Events & Creative. “Not only does Simone now have an opportunity to cultivate and display her passion for WWE within the Performance Center, but she’ll carry on the tradition of her incredible family lineage while creating her own impact as WWE’s first fourth generation Superstar.”

Assistant Head Coach Sara Amato said that she has seen a lot of heart and passion so far but she wouldn’t have expected anything less from her. “She knows she has a lot to learn, she’s hungry to learn, she picks the coaches’ minds, I see her talking to the veteran Superstars as well, she’s not gonna rest on her laurels I tell you that. It’s been a short time but she’s been crushing it,” added Head Coach Matt Bloom.

Her mother, Dany Garcia, tweeted, “It’s been the blessing of my life to watch you grow & while the legacy of the family may be your platform, your future will be uniquely yours to earn. Congrats my Love on living your dream & welcome to @WWENXT.”

Cathy Kelley has conducted a one-on-one interview with Johnson, an interview which will air this Wednesday at 3PM ET on YouTube.
