Update on Halftime Heat Getting Live Broadcast

Feb 1, 2019 - by James Walsh

WWE did not tape the Halftime Heat show at last night’s NXT TV tapings in Orlando, Florida. That would seem to suggest that WWE’s plan is to air Halftime Heat live from the WWE Performance Center on Super Bowl Sunday. If this is the case, it will be the first time WWE broadcasts a live show from the Performance Center.

PWInsider reports that no mention was made of fans being able to attend Halftime Heat at the TV tapings. It seems due to issues with fans at the Performance Center in the past, WWE does not want to encourage fans to go to the Performance Center.

The Halftime Heat show is slated to feature a six-man tag team match with Ricochet, Aleister Black, and Velveteen Dream vs. Adam Cole, NXT champion Tommaso Ciampa, and North American champion Johnny Gargano.
