* Kalisto defeated Lio Rush in a Royal Rumble WWE Cruiserweight Title Fatal 4 Way qualifying match.

* Akira Tozawa defeated Drew Gulak in a Royal Rumble Cruiserweight Title Fatal 4 Way qualifying match.

Smackdown

* The New Day open tonight’s show. Big E is dressed up in a baby outfit. The New Day announce that all three members are going to be in the Royal Rumble match.

* It’s announced that there will be a Fatal 5-Way match with the winner facing Daniel Bryan at The Royal Rumble ffor the WWE Championship. Competitors in the match are AJ Styles, Rey Mysterio, Mustafa Ali and a mystery name.

* The winner of Jeff Hardy vs. Samoa Joe will receive the final spot in the Fatal 5-Way match.

* Samoa Joe vs. Jeff Hardy. Joe picks up the win via submission.

* Backstage segment: AJ Styles refuses to apologize to Vince McMahon.

* Rusev is out with Lana in the ring. Rusev is sneak attacked by Nakamura. Lana jumps on top of Nakamura to try to make the save. Rusev got up and delivered a kick to Nakamura while Lana was wrapped around Nakamura.

* Naomi vs. Mandy Rose. Sonya DeVille steps in and will face Naomi instead. Sonya picks up the wins after Mandy gets on a mic and says she sexted Jimmy Uso today.

* John Cena comes out to a huge reaction but is interrupted by Becky Lynch. Becky says she wasn’t going to just take Charlotte off the poster but she is taking John off the posters now. Becky said if Cena has a problem with that, Nikki Bella wont be the only one to drop him this year.

* John & Becky vs. Zelina & Almas. Becky picks up the win after shoving Cena out of the ring and making Zelina tap out. John then tries to shake Becky’s hand after the match outside of the ring but Becky wasn’t having it and mocked Cena’s “You can’t see me” hand gesture.

* Shane McMahon and Miz segment about how they dress.

* Fatal 5-Way for the opportunity to challenge Daniel Bryan at The Royal Rumble: Samoa Joe vs. Randy Orton vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Mustafa Ali vs. AJ Styles. One point in the match, Joe throws Styles through a table. AJ picks up the win and will face Daniel Bryan for the WWE Title at The Royal Rumble.
