12/24/18 Monday Night Raw Recap

Good Evening everyone! Sean Banner checking in, and I’ll be delivering your Monday Night Raw for your Christmas Eve! Enjoy!

Raw gives a Christmas Themed recap of last week’s show.

Elias is in the ring singing a song about how Bobby Lashley sucks. Lashley is out with Lio Rush to interrupt, leading to the Miracle on 34th Street Fight.

Lashley dumps Legos in the ring, and attempts to superplex Elias on to them but Elias blocks it and shoves Lashley on to them. Elias uses a fire extinguisher on Lashley and rolls a bowling ball into Lashley sitting in the corner. Elias gets the win in 12:30 after a cello shot to Lashley’s head. Post match, Elias rubs Christmas cookies into Lio’s face.

Recap of the McMahon takeover of Raw and Smackdown

Mr. McMahon-ta Claus is announced as well as Paul Heyman.

Bobby Roode and Chad Gable defeated The Revival (Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder) in 10:42 when Gable pinned Wilder with a small package. Incredible match.

Seth Rollins  vs. Baron Corbin is announced.

Charly Caruso interviews Drew McIntyre. Drew is not worried about being in a Triple Threat match against Finn Balor and Dolph Ziggler because their egos will get in the way. Drew says he will win the Royal Rumble and Main Event Wrestlemania. Drew then calls out Balor and Ziggler to start the Triple Threat Match.

Finn Balor wins the Triple Threat Match vs. Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre in 11:34 after a Coup de Grace on Ziggler. Post match, McIntyre gives Ziggler some trash talk and Ziggler responds with a Zig Zag on McIntyre.

A recap of Tribute to the Troops is shown.

Vince McMahon, dressed as Santa Claus, announces he has presents: The return of John Cena, Women’s tag team titles, and Dolph Ziggler vs. Drew McIntyre on next week’s Raw to be fought in a steel cage.

In a six-woman Tag Team Match, Bayley, Sasha Banks and Ember Moon defeat Alicia Fox, Dana Brooke and Mickie James in 8:30 after Bayley hit a Bayley to Belly on Dana Brooke. Post Match, the Riott Squad jump and beat down Bayley, Banks and Moon.

A recap of the events between Seth Rollins and Baron Corbin.

Paul Heyman is in the ring. He sings a version of Silent Night Holy Night about Brock Lesnar. Heyman talks about Lesnar’s Royal Rumble Match vs. Braun Strowman. Heyman says Santa Claus will nor deliver Strowman the Universal Title and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer will not be able to clear a path to the Universal Title. Braun Strowman comes out and puts reindeer ears and a red nose on Heyman. Strowman tells Heyman to tell Lesnar he will be healed up and Lesnar will get these hands.

Charly Caruso interviews Natalya. She expects the best from Ronda, and reminds Charly that she trained Ronda. Bringing home the Raw Women’s Title would be a gift with all she has dealt with this year.

Alexa Bliss and Tyler Breeze give their Christmas wishes

Ronda Rousey defeats Natalya in 15:40 via armbar to retain the Raw Women’s Title.

Dean Ambrose wishes Seth Rollins what he deserves in his match against Seth Rollins. Ambrose says Rollins will have a lousy Christmas if he loses to Baron Corbin.

A promo for the new movie, Fighting with My Family is shown with The Rock.

A Sami Zayn return promo is shown.

Heath Slater defeats Jinder Mahal via DQ in 1:33 when the Singh Brothers interfere. Mid-match, a Santa Claus comes through the crowd to ringside. Post match, the Santa Claus….gores…Jinder Mahal and reveals himself to be Rhyno.

Another vignette for Lars Sullivan, Lacey Evans, Heavy Machinery, Nikki Cross and EC3.

Charly Caruso interviews Seth Rollins. Rollins says he is focused on Baron Corbin tonight and Dean Ambrose cannot take his reputation or his heart.

Apollo Crews, The Ascension and Kurt Angle give their Christmas wishes.

Seth Rollins defeats Baron Corbin in 12:41 after a curb stomp.
