11/28/18 WWE 205 Live Recap: Dar vs. Kanellis; Itami Returns; Alexander/Ali vs. Murphy/Nese Main Event

205 Live opens with Drake Maverick running down the card: Noam Dar vs. Mike Kanellis, Hideo Itami returning, and a tag team main event featuring Cedric Alexander and Mustafa Ali vs. Buddy Murphy and Tony Nese. The opening credits roll, and Nigel McGuinness, Percy Watson, and Vic Joseph welcome us to the show.

Match #1 – Singles Match: Mike Kanellis (w/Maria Kanellis) vs. Noam Dar
Dar applies a wrist-lock, but Kanellis turns it into a waist-lock. Dar comes back and sends Kanellis to the outside with a dropkick. Dar follows him and slams him into the announce table. Maria provides a distraction and Kanellis takes Dar down to the floor. Kanellis beats him down and then delivers a suplex. Kanellis gets Dar back into the ring and goes for the cover, but Dar kicks out at two. Kanellis applies a front face-lock, but Dar gets free and delivers a dropkick. Dar delivers an uppercut and then a forearm shot in the corner. Dar comes off the ropes again, but Kanellis counters with a spine-buster. Lucha House Party’s music hits and Lince Dorado and Gran Metalik come to the stage. Kalisto hits Kanellis from behind and Dar connects with the Nova Roller and gets the pin fall.
Winner: Noam Dar

We see Akira Tozawa and The Brian Kendrick backstage. Tozawa has gloves on and Kendrick is boxing them. Tozawa keeps telling Kendrick “more” and Kendrick pummels the gloves and leaves Tozawa shaking his hands in pain. We then see Drew Gulak and Gentleman Jack Gallagher. Gallagher calls Tozawa and Kendrick “cumbergrounds” which he says is just wastes of space with no value. Gulak says they will put Kendrick out of his misery next week.

We see Buddy Murphy and Tony Nese getting ready for their match backstage.

Match #2 – Singles Match: Hideo Itami vs. Levy Cruise
Itami takes Cruise down to the mat immediately and then delivers a knee to the midsection. Itami kicks Cruise in the back and then drapes him over the top rope. Itami kicks Cruise in the chest and then delivers a knee drop from the top rope. Itami delivers palm strikes and back fists and then delivers a dropkick in the corner. Itami delivers a spinning face-buster and gets the pin fall.
Winner: Hideo Itami
-After the match, Itami continues the beat down on Cruise, but Ariya Daivari’s music hits. Daivari makes his way to the ring and joins in on the beat down of Cruise.

TJP is in Drake Maverick’s office and asks why he isn’t in line for a Cruiserweight Championship since he just beat Gran Metalik last week. Maverick says Metalik has also beaten TJP. TJP says he has beaten all three luchadores and the Kanellis’s walk in and Maria argues with TJP about him moving on to bigger and better things. He says he is with them and Maverick says he will consider a match. Maria says they want it to be a Tornado Tag Team Match next week, and Maverick says it is on.

We see Cedric Alexander and Mustafa Ali warming up backstage. The main event is up next.

Match #3 – Tag Team Match: Buddy Murphy and Tony Nese vs. Cedric Alexander and Mustafa Ali
Alexander and Nese start the match and Alexander takes advantage for a bit. Murphy and Ali tag in and Murphy gains the advantage, but Ali comes back and drops Murphy with a dropkick. Nese and Alexander tag back in and Alexander keeps control. Alexander kicks Nese in the face and goes for the cover, but Nese kicks out at two. Murphy makes a blind tag and then drops Alexander with a knee strike. Murphy goes for the cover, but Alexander kicks out at two. Murphy slams Alexander into the corner and tags in Nese. Nese applies a body-scissors submission, but Alexander gets free and tags in Ali. Murphy tags in as well, but Ali kicks him in the face. Ali comes off the ropes and delivers a sit-out power bomb. Ali goes for the cover, but Murphy kicks out at two. Murphy comes back and sends Ali into the corner, but Ali comes back and goes for a suplex.
Murphy blocks and connects with an elbow. Murphy kicks Ali through the ropes and Nese helps send Ali to the floor. Nese tags in and then backs Ali into the apron. Nese tosses Ali back into the ring and goes for the cover, but Ali kicks out at two. Murphy tags back in, but Ali catches him with a roll-up for two. Murphy comes right back and drops Ali with a clothesline. Murphy goes for the cover, but Ali kicks out at two. Nese tags back in, but Ali takes advantage and slams Nese into Murphy and they fall to the floor. Murphy tries to come back, but Ali sends him to the floor. Murphy pulls Alexander off the apron and Nese takes Ali down in the ring. Nese goes for the cover, but Ali kicks out at two. Murphy tags back in, but Ali quickly takes him down. Nese and Alexander tag back in and Alexander keeps the advantage for his team.
Alexander delivers the Flatliner and goes for the cover, but Nese kicks out at two. Alexander kicks Murphy in the face and goes for a springboard, but Nese cuts him off with a palm strike. Murphy tags in, but Alexander shoves Nese into him. Ali tags back in and he and Alexander go for a suplex on Murphy, but Murphy and Ali fall to the floor. Alexander runs the ropes and takes Murphy out with a suicide dive. Murphy and Ali get back into the ring and Murphy connects with a knee. Murphy goes for Murphy’s Law, but Ali rolls through with a and Alexander tags in. Alexander delivers the Lumbar Check to Murphy and gets the pin fall.
Winners: Cedric Alexander and Mustafa Ali
