Wrestler threatens legal action against NHS after rupturing biceps

WRESTLER Ghent Wakefield is threatening to sue the NHS after claiming his dreams of a multi-million-dollar career in America have been left in tatters.

The 30-year-old ruptured both biceps in a bout four months after being offered a contract with the world-famous WWE.

Ghent claims staff at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire advised him to rest as his arms would heal naturally.

But months later Ghent was told by a private doctor that he should have had surgery within weeks.

Now Ghent fears the surgery delay will mean he will never fully regain the strength in his arms, ruling out a return to the ring.

Ghent, of Federation Road, Burslem, said: “I could not believe it when I was offered a contract with the WWE in America.
