Oct 3, 2011 - by Jason Graening

Follow along as I cover WWE Raw live from the Cajundome from Lafayette, LA.

We head into the Cajundome and we are welcomed to tonight’s SuperShow by Michael Cole and Jim Ross. The announce team hype a huge 12-man tag team event before Randy Orton’s music hits. Orton will be taking on Drew McIntyre in tonight’s opening bout. Photos of last night’s match between Orton and Mark Henry are shown where Orton nailed him with a chair after losing the match to the World’s Strongest Man.

Match 1: Randy Orton vs. Drew McIntyre
The bell rings and Orton takes down McIntyre with a clothesline before stomping on him and sending him out to the floor after hitting a dropkick. Orton goes out to the floor and sends McIntyre hard into the guard railing twice before heading back into the ring. McIntyre finally nails Orton with a big boot to stop Orton’s assault and picking up a near fall after hitting a suplex. McIntyre continues to work over Orton and picks up another near fall after hitting a swinging neckbreaker. McIntyre heads to the middle rope and goes for a splash but Orton counters by putting his boots up. Orton then hits a couple of clotheslines and a body slam before hitting his trademark DDT. Orton then hits the RKO to pick up the pin fall.

After the match, Orton poses for the crowd a bit before hitting another RKO on McIntyre. Mark Henry’s music then hits as the World Champion makes his way towards the ring. Henry stops in the entrance and holds up the World Championship, which sets Orton off and the two begin to brawl in the ringside area. Security comes out to separate the two as John Laurinaitis also comes out. The two continue to brawl as Orton dumps Henry into the crowd as we head into a commercial break.

We return to Raw to see Mark Henry pacing around the ring. We then see a video package of Henry taking out the Big Show, who returns this Friday night to Smackdown. We then head into the next match of the night.

Match 2: Mark Henry vs. John Morrison
The match starts and Morrison tries to use his speed to his advantage, but Henry easily powers him around. Booker T says this match is like a buffet and Henry is about to eat. Morrison is able to counter Henry’s offense and takes Henry out at the knees and hits him with a few kicks. Morrison then hits Starship Pain but Henry is able to kick out. Henry then hits Morrison with a big boot and finishes the match with the World’s Strongest Slam for the pin fall.

After the match, Henry takes Morrison down with another World’s Strongest Slam as Booker T says he is going back for seconds. Henry then grabs a microphone and says Morrison nows knows what it is like to be in the ring with a beast. Henry then tells Orton that he is done with him and says tells the Big Show that he isn’t hard to find, as he will be the one holding the title. He then tells Big Show that he will have the shortest return to the WWE as he will be re-entering the Hall of Pain.

The announce team then hypes the 12-man tag team match that will take place tonight before we head into the backstage area where John Laurinaitis is standing by with several wrestlers. Laurinaitis asks if David Otunga has anything to do with the Miz and R-Truth filing a lawsuit against him. Laurinaitis says he is going to talk to Triple H about it but Vicki Guerrero says they are going to present their case to the public before telling everyone to head out to the ring as we head into a commercial break.

Christian, David Otunga, Jack Swagger, Cody Rhodes, Dolph Ziggler and Vicki Guerrero are all standing in the ring and they are joined by the new WWE Champion, Alberto Del Rio. Del Rio said he won the championship last night, but he couldn’t celebrate his victory because two people, who were supposed to be fired, jumped the railing and entered the cage. Del Rio then blames it all on Triple H and says only he has the power to raise and lower the cage, like what happened when Miz and R-Truth came into the ring.

Christian takes over and says Raw has become an unsafe place to work since Hunter took over as COO. Christian says he isn’t going to take it anymore. Cody Rhodes then steps in and says they have all been a victim of Triple H’s actions and his enormous ego. Dolph Ziggler says they are all going to take action into their own hands and Jack Swagger says his family is fearful of his life whenever he steps in the ring.

Vicki Guerrero says because she is a woman, she feels extremely vulnerable. David Otunga says he learned in law school that due to an unsafe work environment they can either quit or band together and take legal action. They are then interrupted by Triple H’s music who comes out on the stage and wonders what happened to the WWE. Hunter says men used to fight in the ring and not whine and cry like a bunch of little kids.

Triple H says he doesn’t give a damn about lawsuits and is only concerned about the 12-man tag team match they will be in later on tonight. Triple H asks not to whine about it or threaten to sue them, but to shut up and fight in the ring as Triple H leaves. The announce team tell us that we will see footage of what happened at the conclusion of Hell in a Cell as we head into a commercial break.

We see photos of Beth Phoenix winning the Divas Championship last night against Kelly Kelly. The Divas will be in action up next.

Match 3: Kelly Kelly & Eve vs. Beth Phoenix & Natalya
The bell rings and Beth tosses Kelly Kelly out to the floor but Kelly flips out and begins to ram Beth’s head into the announce table. Eve and Natalya also go at it around the ring as the referee calls for the bell and tosses this match out. Kelly Kelly continues to ram Beth’s head into the table and screams until the referee finally pulls her away.

John Laurinaitis walks up to Triple H in the office and apologizes to him for what happened last night with Miz and R-Truth. Laurinaitis also asks for an apology for Triple H knocking him over and wants him to ask the WWE talent about how he is doing at his job. Hunter grabs Laurinaitis by his necktie and says he thinks the person working closest to him is undermining everything he does. Hunter tells him to gather up all of the talent in the ring and he will talk to them.

We see the outside of the Cajundome as we get a look at the Rock in Fast Five, which comes out this week on Blu-ray. We then head to the ring where Jinder Mahal is standing with a microphone. Mahal begins to speak for a moment before being cut off by Santino Marella. Santino comes in and makes fun of Mahal for a bit as we head into the next match of the night.

Match 4: Jinder Mahal vs. Santino Marella
Santino is able to duck out of the way of Mahal’s offense as he hits the turnbuckle. Santino then hits the Cobra and picks up the pin fall.

The announce team again hypes the 12-man tag team match as we head into a commercial break.

A video package highlighting Brodus Clay is aired that shows his dominance. We then join the announce table who talks about the future of WWE and the state that it is currently in. We then see footage of the conclusion of last night’s Hell in a Cell pay-per-view, where the Miz and R-Truth ran in and attacked John Cena and Alberto Del Rio. The cell was locked as WWE stars tried to break into it from the outside as Miz and Truth beat up everyone, including the referee and the cameraman. The lock had to finally be cut off with bolt cutters as police handcuffs Miz and R-Truth, who voluntarily surrendered, and carried them away. Triple H attacks them, though, and pushes Laurinaitis in the process, as Hunter has to be dragged away.

Back at the announce table, Booker T and JR wonder who raised the cage and how they were able to get in to the arena. We then see footage from YouTube where Miz and Truth posted a video and say that all they wanted was their jobs back. They say what they did at Hell in a Cell was to make a statement, but since what Triple H did, they were advised to file a lawsuit for wrongful termination and assault charges against Hunter and WWE.

Match 5: CM Punk/John Cena/Sheamus/Evan Bourne/Kofi Kingston/Mason Ryan vs. Jack Swagger/Christian/Cody Rhodes/Dolph Ziggler/Alberto Del Rio/David Otunga (12-Man Tag Team Match)
The bell rings and a few tags are made in and out in the opening moments. Mason Ryan finally begins to power Dolph Ziggler around and picks up a near fall. Sheamus and Jack Swagger are tagged in as Sheamus beats Swagger down and picks up another near fall. CM Punk and Cody Rhodes are in next as Punk works over Rhodes for a bit and tries for the GTS but Rhodes escapes and the match breaks down as we head into a commercial break.

We return to the match and see Rhodes pick up a near fall over Kofi Kingston before tagging Alberto Del Rio into the match. Del Rio tries for another near fall before tagging Christian into the match. Christian hits a neckbreaker and picks up another near fall before continuing to work over Kingston. Quick tags are made in and out as they keep wearing Kofi down. Kingston is dumped to the floor but he sends Rhodes flying into the guard railing and tires to make the tag, but he is cut off by Christian. Kingston is nearly able to get the tag once again, but Ziggler is able to hold him back.

Kingston and Ziggler finally hit each other with cross body blocks and Kofi is able to make the tag to Evan Bourne. Bourne comes in and takes Swagger down with a knee to the face and hits the Air Bourne, however, Vicki puts Swagger’s foot on the rope. The referee then tosses Vicki out of the ringside area as she screams that it isn’t fair and we head into another commercial break.

We return to the match to see Evan Bourne is being beat down by Ziggler and Christian. Christian is able to pick up a two count over Bourne before turning it over to Del Rio. Bourne is finally able to kick Del Rio to the face and takes him down with a tornado DDT before making the hot tag to John Cena. Cena comes in and slams Del Rio to the mat before hitting the Five Knuckle Shuffle. Cena then goes for the Attitude Adjustment but Del Rio counters and takes Cena down.

Cena is isolated into the corner as quick tags are made in and out to work him over and wear Cena down. Cena is able to counter Swagger’s offense and makes the tag to Sheamus. Ziggler is tagged in and Sheamus easily takes him down, however, Sheamus is knocked off the top rope as Del Rio distracts the referee. The match begins to break down with everyone hitting their signature moves. It finally ends with Sheamus hitting the Brough Kick on Ziggler to pick up the pin fall for his team.

The winners celebrate their victory as the announce team recap what just went down and hype Triple H’s vote of confidence, which is coming up next.

Another video package that recaps the feud between Mark Henry and the Big Show is aired. The Big Show returns this Friday to Smackdown and has his sights set on Henry. The announce team hype Big Show’s return as the WWE locker room makes their way to the ring, including the referees. Jerry Lawler even comes out and joins the talent as we head into another commercial break.

The talent surrounds the ring as Triple H’s music hits. Triple H comes out and says everyone will get a chance to speak their mind on how he is running things. Hunter says the job he was given was a lot harder than he expected it to be. He admits to the fact that he is old school and likes seeing the battles and the chaos in WWE and says that he would bet his life that the fans enjoy it as well. Triple H then asks isn’t the fans that they all truly work for at the end of the day.

Wade Barrett said he was selected by his coworkers to talk about some grievances. Barrett says Hunter has made an unsafe working environment for them, which includes being attacked by individuals in the parking lot. Barrett continues to say that he isn’t right for the job and says he is the source of all the chaos. Hunter reminds Barrett of what he did as part of the Nexus and says that he doesn’t like the chaos because he isn’t causing it.

Referee Mike Chioda steps in and talks about being afraid to come to work with the wrestlers and ex-employees attacking them. Beth Phoenix talks about being a Diva and how they are worried about all of the bedlam going on. Jerry Lawler steps in the ring and says he agrees with some things, such as the show spiraling out of control. Lawler says it is becoming a hazardous work environment, however, he thinks it isn’t Triple H’s fault.

Lawler agrees with CM Punk and thinks there is someone behind the scenes that doesn’t want him to run the company. Lawler says they are all paying the price for what is going on. Christian then steps in and starts the vote with no confidence. Mike Chioda and Beth Phoenix also say they have no confidence for their respective groups and Lawler also agrees with them. Lawler says actions speak louder than words and says he is reluctantly walking out. The groups all being to follow Lawler’s lead as Michael Cole even gets up from the announce table and leaves. Booker T, the ring announcer and even the ringside cameramen walk out.

Triple H looks out at Jim Ross, who is the last one around the ring, however, JR just shakes his head and walks away. Triple H is seen standing alone in the ring as John Laurinaitis walks out, only to turn around and walk away. Triple H holds his arms out and mouths “I’m sorry” as Raw comes to a close.
