– The WWE promo hits.

– The show opens with a video package highlighting the top matches tonight.

– A graphic opening hits welcoming us to WWE Bragging Rights. We go live to Pittsburgh where a series of pyro goes off. On commentary tonight is Michael Cole, Todd Grisham and Jerry “The King” Lawler.

Champion vs. Champion
WWE Intercontinental Champion John Morrison vs. WWE U.S. Champion The Miz

The Miz bailed out of the ring early on to upset the crowd. Lots of pinfall attempts between the two halfway through. Miz with a counter to a kneelift, but is clotheslined over the top rope to the outside. We see a shot of Team Raw watching from backstage. Back live, Morrison gets a big shot in on Miz who goes flying off the ring apron. We see another backstage shot of Team Smackdown looking on. Morrison is thrown from the corner over the top rope to the outside by Miz. Miz with a big side slam on Morrison. Miz then drives his knee down into the back of Morrison and pulls back on his arms. More pinfall attempts between the two. The two start exchanging some big kicks. More kicks and right hands exchanged between Morrison and Miz. Morrison with a big springboard kick to the head on Miz. Miz got his foot on the rope barely before the three count. Miz rolls out when Morrison looks to attempt the Starship Pain. Morrison then hits a corkscrew plancha over the top rope to Miz on the outside. We see a shot of the Bragging Rights trophy that is sitting at ringside. Miz with a sledgehammer from the top rope on Morrison. Morrison with a side russian leg sweep on Miz near the corner. Miz trips up Morrison when he attempt a Starship Pain. Miz hooks the leg and gets the pinfall.

Raw is now up 1-0 on the Bragging Rights scoreboard. Backstage, we see a shot of Team Raw celebrating.

– We see footage from Friday Night Smackdown and how a majority of Team Smackdown was changed up. Team Smackdown now includes Chris Jericho, Kane, Matt Hardy, Finlay, R-Truth and The Hart Dynasty.

– Backstage, Cody Rhodes is talking about how Team Raw will dominate Team Smackdown tonight. R-Truth walks up and disagrees. Rhodes calls Truth a second rate competitor on a second rate team on a second rate show – and that was the truth. Truth said Cody’s daddy is the reason he is on Raw and that Randy Orton is the only reason he has had any success.

– A promo for WWE Survivor Series on Sunday, November 22 airs with DX.

Raw Divas vs. Smackdown Divas
Team Raw (WWE Divas Champion Melina, Kelly Kelly & Gail Kim) vs. Team Smackdown (WWE Women’s Champion Michelle McCool, Beth Phoenix & Natalya)

Match starts with Gail Kim and Beth Phoenix. Lots of back and forth striking early on. Phoenix catches Kim attempting a cross body, but Kim counters into a rollup for a close two count. Michelle McCool tags herself in and hits some strikes on Kim. Kim with a huracanrana on McCool. Tag to Natalya. Natalya with knees and a big scoop slam on Kim. Kim with a charge in the corner on Natalya. Tag to Kelly Kelly. Kelly with a big tilt-a-whirl head scissors takedown on Natalya. Natalya drops Kelly’s throat over the ropes and throws her to the opposite corner. Kelly attempts a sunset flip in the corner, but Natalya counters and tags in McCool. McCool with shots to Kelly and tags in Phoenix. Phoenix with a quick snapmare on Kelly. Quick tag back to McCool who locks on a head lock. McCool with some knees to Kelly and Phoenix tags herself in. Kelly with a huracanrana into a rollup on Phoenix for a two count. Tag to Melina who hits a big dropkick on Phoenix and then throws her into the ropes. Melina with knees to the back of Phoenix and drops Phoenix on her face. Melina with a shot to McCool on the ring apron. McCool switched up a small package that Melina had on Phoenix, but Melina was able to kick out. Melina with a tilt-a-whirl facebuster on Phoenix, but Natalya and McCool break it up. Phoenix drops Melina off the corner, lifts her up and slams her down on her face. Phoenix covers Melina and gets the pinfall.

Winners: Team Smackdown (WWE Divas Champion Melina, Kelly Kelly & Gail Kim)

Backstage, we see a shot of Team Smackdown celebrating. We are now tied 1-1 between Raw and Smackdown. There is only one match left to determine who will take the Bragging Rights trophy.

– We go again backstage to Team Raw where DX is about to give a speech. Jack Swagger questions the need for a speech. Triple H said no one cares what Swagger thinks anyway. He adds they have been picking on Mark Henry (for almost having a baby with Mae Young), shoving Big Show’s head up Vince McMahon’s ass, beating up Cody Rhodes and exposing Kofi Kingston’s fake Jamaican accent. HBK tells Swagger if he wants to leave the team he can and will even replace him with the first person he sees. Hornswoggle walks up laughing. HBK says maybe not the first person they see. Triple H yells at Hornswoggle to take off the DX gear and wash his face. He adds that Raw can make a statement tonight and wants to know if they are ready. Everyone puts their hands in.

– A video package runs highlighting the upcoming Fatal Four Way for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship with champion The Undertaker defending against CM Punk, Batista and Rey Mysterio.

Tony Chimel did ring introductions for the champion The Undertaker and challengers CM Punk, Batista and Rey Mysterio.

CM Punk levels Rey Mysterio right away and runs to the outside. Batista chases down Punk and Undertaker catches Batista with a big right hand. Punk with right hands and kicks to Taker in the corner. Taker grabs Punk by the neck and tosses him over the top rope. Mysterio with a plancha off the ring apron to take out Punk. Taker with a flying clothesline on Batista in the ring. Mysterio with kicks to the legs of Taker and a dropkick that sends him over the top rope. Taker rolls back in and catches Mysterio with a huge big boot. Taker with Old School on Batista. Taker tries to attempt the same on Mysterio, but Punk trips him up and tosses Mysterio out of the ring. Punk looks to suplex Taker off the top, but Taker headbutts him away. Punk again trips up Taker up top and this time hits a superplex from the top. Mysterio springboards in and hits a body splash on Taker. Punk then tosses Mysterio out of the ring. Batista with a series of clotheslines on Punk. Batista with a big powerslam on Punk, but is caught with a big right hand from Taker. Taker attempts a springboard huracanrana, Taker has him up for a Last Ride to counter and Batista levels Taker with a spear. Batista and Mysterio stare each other down to see who will pin Taker. They waste time and Taker chokes Mysterio.

Batista levels Taker into the ropes. Mysterio with a 619 on Taker. Batista with a spinebuster on Taker. Batista covers and Punk breaks it up. Punk with a GTS on Mysterio, cover and Batista breaks it up. Taker gets a Hell’s Gate locked on Batista. Punk breaks it up. Punk mounts Taker and gets in some right hands. Punk with a running knee to Taker in the corner. Taker counters as Punk stands up and hits a Last Ride on Punk. Taker covers and Batista breaks it up. Batista and Taker exchange right hands. Taker with a chokeslam on Batista. Taker covers and Punk breaks it up. Taker tosses Punk over the top rope. Taker signals for the end at Batista. Taker has Batista up for a Tombstone Piledriver. Batista counters, kicks Taker and hits the Batista Bomb. Batista covers, Mysterio breaks it up, Batista covers again and Mysterio breaks that up. Batista starts arguing with Mysterio yelling, “Are you kidding me? You are supposed to be my friend!” Batista then decks Mysterio. Taker with a chokeslam on Batista. Taker with a cover on Batista and Batista kicks out. Batista counters another chokeslam attempt and both connect with a double clothesline. Punk rolls in, covers Batista and Batista kicks out. Punk also covers Taker and Taker kicks out. Batista tosses Punk over the top rope and then grabs Mysterio throwing him on Punk. Taker with a Tombstone Piledriver on Batista. Cover and Taker retains.

Winner & STILL WWE World Heavyweight Champion: The Undertaker

After the match, The Undertaker is handed the World Heavyweight Championship and he heads up the ramp. He stops at the top of the ramp, holds up the title one more time and heads to the back. In the ring, Josh Mathews is trying to get word with Rey Mysterio and Batista. Mysterio said they could have tried harder and apologizes to Batista for the confrontation they had. He said it was every man for himself tonight and they will live to fight another day. Batista said he felt like he was close to winning. He asks the fans and they agree. He said he was close and not “we.” Batista said he is trying of coming close and his best friend stabbing him in the back. He tells Mysterio he isn’t playing around and that he wants to rip his head off. Batista then levels Mysterio with a huge clothesline. Batista kicks Mysterio out of the ring and yells, “I was this close!” Batista starts kicking Mysterio on the ground and holds him back up against the ring. Batista yells, “You were supposed to be my friend!” Batista grabs Mysterio and throws him like a dart at the ring barricade. Batista looks to be done and as he walks away, he turns around, runs and levels Mysterio with a big boot to the head. We see a shot of WWE referees checking on Mysterio. Batista is shown walking up the ramp and to the back.

– We see a “tale of the tape” between Team Raw and Team Smackdown. Raw’s team is a combined 2,064 pounds, while Smackdown’s team is a combined 1,691 pounds. Raw has a total of 59 championship reigns, while Smackdown has a total of 58 championship reigns.

Team Raw vs. Team Smackdown
Team Raw (Triple H, Shawn Michaels, WWE Unified Tag Team Champion Big Show, Cody Rhodes, Jack Swagger, Kofi Kingston & Mark Henry) vs. Team Smackdown (WWE Unified Tag Team Champion Chris Jericho, Kane, Matt Hardy, R-Truth, Finlay and The Hart Dynasty)

Michael Cole made a joke wondering if Jim Ross was at home watching the show in his blue night gown or blue pajamas. Yeah, not the best time to be making jokes about JR.

We start with Cody Rhodes and R-Truth. Truth with a big side kick on Rhodes. Truth with some right hands. Big Show tags himself in and Truth tags in Kane. Kane and Big Show stare each other down. Kane moves forward with right hands on Big Show. Big Show misses a splash in the corner and Kane hits a clothesline. Big Show fires back with a big shoulder block and drops a leg. Tag to Jack Swagger who hits Kane with some forearms. Kane with a big uppercut and clothesline on Swagger. Tag to Matt Hardy who tosses Swagger face first into the corner. Hardy with a big clothesline on Swagger. Hardy catches Swagger with a big boot in the corner and follows with a leg drop. All hell breaks loose and we have a big stare down on the outside between both teams. Referees break it up. Back in the ring, Swagger drops Hardy’s arm over the ring. Tag to Mark Henry who works over Hardy’s arm. Tag to Shawn Michaels who tosses Hardy into the corner. Tag to Finlay who levels HBK with clotheslines, a scoop slam and elbow drop. Finlay tosses HBK into the other corner and hits another clothesline. Finlay works on HBK in the corner. Both men appear to have hit heads near the corner. HBK with Sweet Chin Music on Finlay, but The Hart Dynasty hit the Hart Attack. DH Smith covers HBK and only gets a two count.

Tag to Chris Jericho who smiles looking down at HBK. Jericho applies a head lock on HBK. HBK with a quick roll up on Jericho that results in a two count. Tag to Kane who hits a big dropkick to the face of HBK. Tag to DH Smith who kicks and stomps HBK. Smith with a scoop slam on HBK, tags in Tyson Kidd and Kidd misses leg drop. Tag to Triple H who levels Smith and Kidd. Triple H with a spinebuster on Finlay over DH Smith. Spinebuster on Kidd over Finlay and Smith. Kane is in and chokeslams Triple H. Kidd covers Triple H and Triple H gets a shoulder up. Tag to Jericho who hits a bulldog on Triple H. Jericho misses a Lionsault on Triple H. Tag to Kofi Kingston who takes out Jericho with some huge offense. Jericho counters a Boom Drop from Kingston, attempts a Walls of Jericho and Kingston counters into a close roll up for a two count. Kingston drops Jericho with Trouble in Paradise and The Hart Dynasty breaks up the pinfall. Mark Henry is in and levels Hart Dynasty. Henry is tosses out, catches R-Truth and Hardy hits a cross body to take out Hardy with Truth. Swagger takes out Finlay with a gutwrench powerbomb. Kane with a big boot on Swagger. Big Show with a spear on Kane. Kingston is up top with help from Big Show. Big Show grabs Kingston though and chokeslams his own teammate to the mat.

Triple H gets in asking Big Show what he is doing. Big Show with a knockout punch on Triple H. Big Show then walks out and Jericho covers Kingston for the pinfall.

Winners & Bragging Rights Champions: Team Smackdown (winning 2-1)

After the match, Chris Jericho is handed the Bragging Rights trophy and the rest of the team comes in the ring to celebrate. Jericho and the rest of his teammates hold up the trophy high in the air.

– Backstage, we see a shot of John Cena.

– A video package runs showing the history of Randy Orton vs. John Cena in WWE and the latest events heading into tonight’s one hour anything goes Iron Man match for the WWE Championship.

– Backstage, we see a shot of Kofi Kingston in the back. Cody Rhodes walks up saying Team Raw lost because of him. Kingston said he couldn’t control Big Show turning his back on them. Rhodes said he was the weak link of Team Raw. Rhodes then attacks Kingston and walks off.

If John Cena loses, he is off Raw and will go to Smackdown

Justin Roberts did introductions for the champion Randy Orton and challenger John Cena.

The 60:00 minute clock is now counting down as the bell rings. Cena with a quick head lock takedown on Orton. Orton gets to his feet and backs Cena to the corner. Orton with a side head lock takedown of his own on Cena. Cena with a big hip toss on Orton. Orton tosses Cena with force into the corner to answer back. Orton tosses Cena away countering a running bulldog attempt. Orton with some big right hands on Cena. Cena with an STF on Orton and Orton quickly taps out.

John Cena: 1
Randy Orton: 0

They are giving them 30 second rest periods in between pinfalls or submissions. The commentators talked about Orton tapping out quickly to avoid any damage. Orton with a big snap powerslam on Cena and drops a knee over his chest. Orton works over Cena against the ropes. Orton with a side head lock on Cena. Cena tries to stand up to get out of the head lock, but ends up falling back down. Cena breaks free and hits a blockbuster on Orton. Cena goes up top and connects with a leg drop to the back of Orton’s neck. Cena goes to attempt the five knuckle shuffle, hits the ropes, but Orton jumps up and connects with the RKO. Orton gets the pinfall on Cena to tie it up.

Randy Orton: 1

Another 30 seconds of rest and we are back at it with 50:15 to go. Orton knocks Cena off the ring apron and Cena hits the ring barricade. Orton walks out and throws Cena back into the ring apron. Cena then starts clearing off the announce table, grabs a TV monitor and cracks it over the head of Cena. Orton covers Cena and Cena somehow kicks out after two. Orton throws Cena back in the ring, grabs a mic, fakes that he is about to talk and instead hits Cena over the head with it. Orton covers Cena and only gets a two count. Cena is busted open on the top of his head and they stop the clock as a medical assistant goes to check on him. Cena breaks free and starts firing up. Cena levels Orton in the corner and Orton slides out. Blood is running down Cena’s face. On the outside, Orton sends Cena right into the steel steps, hooks the leg and only gets a two count. Orton pushes the top part of the steel steps away and stomps over Cena’s head over the bottom steps. Orton with a pinfall attempt and Cena again kicks out after two. Orton tosses Cena back in the ring and hits a few rights. Cena counters an RKO attempt, hits two flying shoulder blocks and then his twisting powerbomb. Cena with the five knuckle shuffle on Orton, Attitude Adjustment attempt, but Orton hits an RKO in mid air as he comes down. Both men are down and have their arms over each others chest. The referee counts the pinfall.

Randy Orton: 2

The 30 second rest period begins as EMT officials are in the ring trying to attend to Cena. 30 seconds is up as the bell rings and we continue the match at 41:44. Jerry Lawler noted that it looks like Cena’s head was glued to close up the cut on the top of his head. Orton misses a charge in the corner. Cena with an Attitude Adjustment off the top rope on Orton. Cena hooks the leg and gets the pinfall.

Randy Orton: 2

Legacy hits the ring as the 30 second rest period begins. The 30 seconds expires as DiBiase hits Dream Street on Cena. DiBiase and Rhodes put Orton over Cena. The referee counts the pinfall and Orton gets it.

Kofi Kingston runs down with a steel chair and chases off Legacy to the back. The 30 second rest period expires and we are tied up 3-3 with 38:36 to go. Cena with a clothesline on Orton. Cena with a big takedown on Orton. Orton bails to the outside. Cena sends Orton into the steel ring barricade near the entrance ramp as he chases him down. Cena with big right hands to Orton. Cena throws Orton into the other side of the steel barricade near the entrance ramp area. Cena attempts this a third time, Orton blocks and sends Cena into the barricade this time. Orton drags Cena over to the pyro area and throws Cena face first into some controls that set off pyro. Orton grabs Cena and throws him through some lighting in the set and some sparks fly. Orton pulls Cena out, covers and gets the pinfall.

Orton takes the lead as we begin the 30 second rest period. We have 33:56 to go as Orton checks out the pyro area. He pushes a button and some pyro goes off at the top of the entrance ramp. He does this a second time and figures it out. Orton starts approaching Cena who is crawling up the steps to the top of the entrance ramp. Orton grabs a steel chair and cracks it over the neck/head of Cena. Orton drags Cena across the area where he pyro just shot off. Orton walks back over to the pyro area and throws the person who controls the area away. The referee points at him not to do it. Orton starts pushing a button and the pyro isn’t going off. He gets frustrated and starts pushing more and Cena is able to quickly roll out of the way. Orton starts showing emotion and is upset that Cena move out of the way. They brawl back down the entrance ramp and Orton sends Cena into the other steel steps. Orton grabs the top of the steel steps and throw them at Cena’s head who goes down right away. Orton covers Cena and Cena is able to kick out after two. Orton starts stomping over Cena’s body. Orton grabs a steel chair and cracks it over the chest of Cena. Orton tries to cover Cena, but Cena rolls away. Orton tosses Cena back in the ring. Cena with a small package and gets the pinfall.

We are tied up 4-4 when Orton jumps over Cena in the 30 second rest period. The referee pushes Orton away. We now have 26:30 to go as Orton is on the outside even more frustrated. Orton grabs Cena by the head, pulls him out under the bottom rope and connects with a huge DDT on the floor on Cena’s head. Orton rolls Cena over, hooks the leg and gets the pinfall.

John Cena: 4
Randy Orton: 5

Orton is now up 5-4 as the 30 second rest period begins. Rest period is up and we have 24:11 to go. Orton with another cover and Cena kicks out after two. Orton rolls Cena back in the ring and stares down the crowd. Orton stares stomping Cena and then goes to work on his neck hitting forearm shots to the chest. Orton drops a knee over the head of Cena, cover and Cena kicks out. Orton with a big right hand that drops Cena. Another cover by Orton and Cena again kicks out. Orton with another right hand, Cena goes down, Orton covers and Cena kicks out. We have 20:50 to go as Orton misses a clothesline, Cena attempts a right hand and Orton bails out of the ring.

Cena leaves the ring and approaches Cena at the top of the entrance ramp. Orton catches Cena with a big kick and some forearms. Cena with a big right hand and Orton starts running away down the ramp. Orton slides back in the ring and Cena yells, “Come on!” from the top of the ramp. Cena slides into the ring and Orton goes on the attack. Cena rolls to the ring apron. Orton attempts a DDT through the ropes. Cena counters, gets Orton up for the Attitude Adjustment, but Orton jumps off Cena’s shoulders, rolls out of the ring and jumps into the crowd. Orton is trying to run the clock down as he heads up the arena steps. Cena catches up with Orton and catches him with some right hands. Cena grabs a trash can and hits Orton with it. Cena with more right hands to Orton who falls down the arena steps a bit. We have 15:24 to go as Cena stalks Orton brawling through the crowd. Cena with another big right hand on Orton. Cena tosses Orton back into the ringside area, covers and Orton kicks out. Cena throws Orton face first off part of the steel steps, another cover and Orton again kicks out. Cena sends Orton into the ring barricade two times with force. Cena picks up Orton and throws him near the timekeepers area and this time Orton busts right through it. Cena drags the bottom part of the steel ring steps and places them near the announce table. Cena takes the TV monitors off the announce table, grabs the other part of the steel steps and cracks it in the face of Orton. Cena lifts the steel steps over his head as the fans cheer loudly. Cena then places those steel steps over the bottom steel steps near the announce table. Cena lifts Orton to his shoulders from the floor, walks over, stands on top of the steel steps and sends Orton in the air with an Attitude Adjustment crashing through the announce table. Cena covers Orton and gets a pinfall.

Randy Orton: 5

We are now tied 5-5 with the 30 second rest period starting. We have 8:30 to go as Cena attempts another pinfall and this time Orton kicks out. Cena then goes under the ring and pulls out a table. Cena tosses it back in the ring and sets it up. Cena leaves the ring and picks up a lifeless Orton. Cena tosses Orton inside the ring. Cena puts Orton on top of the table and then starts climbing up the top turnbuckle. Cena stands up, jumps and Orton moves out of the way as Cena goes crashing through the table. We have 4:27 to go as both men are trying to get to their feet. Orton with a right hand to Cena. Cena with a right hand to Orton. More back and forth shots. Orton with a big uppercut on Cena. Cena fires back with more right hands. More right hand exchanges now. Cena with a shot to Orton’s gut. Orton still fires back with more right hands. 3:00 to go as Cena gets the upper hand with rights. Cena with a flying shoulder block on Orton, attempts a second, Orton ducks and Cena takes out the referee. Orton with an RKO on Cena. Another referee runs down…1…2…Cena gets a shoulder up. Orton can’t believe it and shoves the referee down. Michael Cole wonders if we will go to overtime. Orton backs up, misses a punt on Cena, drop toe hold by Cena and Cena has the STF applied. Orton is screaming out and trying to reach for the ropes. We have 20 seconds to go as Orton is trying to fight the tap. Orton taps with 5 seconds to go. Time expires.

Winner & NEW WWE Champion: John Cena

After the match, an exhausted John Cena sits up and is handed the WWE Championship. The referee raises the arm of Cena as the fans in Pittsburgh cheer loudly. We then see a replay of the falls during the match leading to the final fall that gave Cena the win 6 to 5 when Orton tapped out. Back live, Cena is standing at the top of the entrance ramp with the WWE Championship over his shoulder. The PPV goes off the air with an upset Orton looking towards the entrance area.
