Biography

– Birchall began his career for the FWA Academy promotion in 2002
– Birchall began working full FWA shows under the tweaked name of ‘Paul Burchill’ in May 2003
– On August 1, 2004, Burchill defeated Doug Williams & Zebra Kid in a No Holds Barred Match to win the vacant IWP Heavyweight Title
– In November 2004, Burchill signed a WWE developmental contract
– Burchill began working for OVW in May of 2005
– In August 2005, WWE called up Burchill to the Smackdown roster.
– In February 2006, Burchill debuted his pirate gimmick
– In June, Burchill was written off television following an attack from Mark Henry. He would return to OVW in the meantime
