Biography

– Fertig began his career in Memphis, working as ‘Seven’
– On November 18, 2000, The Triad (Seven & Thrash) defeated The Dupps (Jack & Bo) to win the MCW Tag Team Titles
– Seven worked several WWF dark matches and B-show events between December 2000 and April 2001
– On July 7, 2001, Seven defeated Steve Bradley to win the MCW Southern Heavyweight Title
– Fertig signed a WWE development deal in April 2002 and was assigned to OVW, where he would keep his ‘Seven’ gimmick
– On March 5, 2003, The Disciples Of Synn (Seven & Travis Bane) defeated Lance Cade & Rene Dupree to win the vacant OVW Southern Tag Team Titles
– Fertig began working Raw brand house shows under his real name in October 2003
– ‘Mordecai’ was introduced to Smackdown on the April 15, 2004 episode
– At Judgment Day 2004, Mordecai defeated Scotty 2 Hotty
– At the 2004 Great American Bash, Mordecai defeated Hardcore Holly
– The Mordecai gimmick was dropped in July 2004 and Fertig resumed his portrayal of ‘Seven’ in OVW
– In July 2005, WWE released Fertig

– Fertig wrestled a TNA dark match as ‘Seven’, losing to Kip James on September 1, 2009, but nothing came of it

– In 2011, Fertig left the wrestling business and became a realtor

– Upon signing a WWE developmental deal, Fertig was assigned to Ohio Valley Wrestling.
– Fertig debuted the Mordecai character on the April 15, 2004 edition of “Smackdown.”
