– WWE NXT Results 10/14/15 | Winter Park, Florida | Full Sail Universty

The show opens with the NXT women’s champion as Bayley comes out to a big reaction as they chanted “Match of the Year” before she could say a word. Bayley stated that being in the main event is something she always dreamed of and that she and Sasha Banks started a whole new level of the Diva’s Revolution.

Alexa Bliss along with Blake and Murphy came to the ring. Alexa put over last weeks’ Iron Man Match and said that no one deserves to be champion more than Bayley. Alex went on to say that the women in NXT have no limits. She raised Bayley’s hand and stole the belt.

Blake and Murphy ran interference so Bayley couldn’t get by.  Alexa held up the title and said she was going to become the champion. Alexa threw the belt back at Bayley and left as Bayley looked on with a look of determination.

– The NXT camera crew caught up with Samoa Joe and Finn Balor after their victory in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team classic. Samoa Joe turned celebration into confrontation and says as good as their win in the tournament was, he came to NXT for the title.

Balor accepts Joe’s challenge, but William Regal walks in and says it doesn’t work like that. Joe protests, saying that he is undefeated in NXT. Regal respects that, but says it’s time to bring focus back to the NXT title and announces a Battle Royal where the winners becomes the number one contender.

– The Vaudevillians vs. Angelo Dawkins and Sawyer Fulton

The story of this match was the Vaudevillians are looking to get back on track after their second round elimination in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. Fulton and Dawkins got a lot of offense in this one. Dawkins had a LeBron James thing going on wearing two headbands. Gotch received the hot tag and hit a side suplex. A Whirling Dervish lands moments later for the 1, 2, and 3.

Winner: The Vaudevillians

– The Mechanics air their grievances over not getting a tag team title shot at the Vaudevillians since they beat them in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. Instead, they are stuck wrestling Enzo and Big Cass. They mocked the Jersey crew’s catch phrases and proclaimed that the titles belong to them.

– Nia Jax vs. Evie

Nia is probably the biggest woman on both rosters. She moved around the ring rather well. Her ring attire reminded me of Flash Funk minus the hat and trench coat.

The bell rang and Jax out powered Evie, no sold a clothesline, and trapped her in a bear hug. The fans chanted “Just stay down” as Jax hurled Evie into the corner. Evie attempted to fight back, but got caught coming off the ropes with a Rock Bottom variation for the three count.

Winner: Nia Jax

– Eva Marie is taking some “me time” in Paris, France after all of her grueling matches in NXT and blew a kiss to all of the fans who miss her.

– 20 Man Battle Royal – #1 Contender for the NXT title:

Rhyno, Corbin, and The Mechanics quadruple teamed Samoa Joe from the onset. They got him on the apron, but Joe fought his way back into the ring. Apollo Crews scored the first four eliminations as he tossed Steve Cutler, Danny Birch, Elias Sampson and pitched Johnny Gargano on top of them.

Buddy Murphy had some close calls, but managed to catch himself from hitting the floor. Big Cass eliminates Riddick Moss and is immediately thrown out by Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson. Enzo gets revenge for his tag team partner and eliminates Wilder and Dawson at the same time, which gets a huge reaction from the Full Sail crowd.

Enzo gets caught in mid celebration and is eliminated by Tye Dillinger. Dillinger eats a couple or right hands from Bull Dempsey, a knee to the face for good measure and gets thrown up and out of the ring. Dempsey looks to eliminate Corbin, but Rhyno makes the save and tosses the Bull.

“Corbin was doing the universe a favor” states Corey Graves as the “Lone Wolf” throws out Mojo Rawley. Zack Ryder works over Corbin with over hand rights in an attempt to get some payback for his partner. There was another close call for Murphy as Corbin eliminates Zack Ryder.

Corbin double crosses Rhyno and throws him over the top for the elimination. His now former partner is shocked as Corbin backs himself into the corner and waves on all comers. Samoa Joe eliminates Tammaso Ciampa and then dumps Blake and Murphy at the same time.

We are down to the final four as the Full Sail chant for Tyler Breeze as Samoa Joe, Baron Corbin, and Apollo Crews continue to battle. Breeze levels Joe with a Supermodel Kick. Breeze tries to follow up with another one, but gets caught with an STO and receives a big boot that sends him packing. The crowd didn’t like that one.

Crews recovers in the opposite corner as Joe and Corbin battle it out. Joe gets Corbin up for the Muscle Buster, Corbin slips out, throws Joe over the top rope, but Joe catches himself on the apron. Corbin moves in, Joe connects with a kick to the head, and Breeze pulls Joe off the apron and to the floor for the elimination.

The fans chant “Thank You Tyler” as the final two men get to their feet. Corbin picks up Crews and rams him into the corner. Crews immediately return the favor and does the same to Corbin. Both men exchange punches in the center of the ring with Crews getting cheers and Corbin getting the boo birds.

Crews got the better of the exchange until Corbin comes back and delivers a double handed choke slam. Corbin throws out Crews, turns his back expecting the elimination and is angered to see his opponent only on the apron.

Crews came back with a barrage of clotheslines, went for the standing moonsault, but Corbin got his knees up. Crews got a second wind and connects with several kicks to the head, and clotheslined Corbin out of the ring to earn the victory.

Winner and new #1 Contender: Apollo Crews
