Daniel Bryan’s music plays as he makes his way out to the ring to a huge ovation. Daniel Bryan thanks the fans telling them they’re too kind. He says he’s been coming into the ring since Fast Lane week after week after week after week and has tried to ignore the Wrestlemania sign. He says he can’t ignore it anymore as he accepts he can’t repeat last year where the Yes Movement took him all the way to the main event of Wrestlemania. He says that when one door open, another one closes. He says a couple of weeks ago he stood in the ring with some of the best WWE Superstars fighting over the Intercontinental Championship. It got him to thinking about people who were his heroes as a kid when he’d watch Wrestlemania. People like Mr. Perfect, Ricky Steamboat, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, “Macho Man” Randy Savage. They were all Intercontinental Champions at Wrestlemania and when they were, they were more exciting than anything going on in the Heavyweight title division. He’s also noticed the only championship he hasn’t won since being in WWE is the Intercontinental Championship.He says since he can’t repeat last year’s Wrestlemania and compete for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, he’ll enter his name in the ladder match to fight for the Intercontinental Championship.
Bad News Barrett makes his way out telling Daniel Bryan he has bad news for him. Despite what everyone seems to think, he’s still the Intercontinental Championship, and will remain so after Wrestlemania. That will make him the new hero. Dolph Ziggler’s music plays as he makes his way out. Dolph says that Barrett may never be Daniel Bryan’s hero but he is Dolph’s hero. He has never met someone so delusional and desperate to be relevant. He asks how Barrett is going to hold on to the Intercontinental Championship at Wrestlemania with 6 other men if he can’t hold on to it week after week. Luke Harper’s music plays as he makes his way out. Luke says he wants his Wrestlemania moment pointing at the Wrestlemania sign. Dean Ambrose’s music plays as he makes his way out. Ambrose tells everyone if they think they’re going to fight and knock each other’s teeth out without inviting him, he needs to make a reccommendation for them. He can’t wait until Wrestlemania because he’s always ready for a fight and would love to start with any one of them right now.
Stardust’s music plays as he makes his way out. Stardust is given a mic and he’s asking where the Intercontinental Championship is. R Truth’s music plays as he makes his way out with the Intercontinental Championship. Detroit gives Detroit a “What’s Up?” He asks if they’re all looking for the IC title. He talks to the title saying it’s a beaut. He says he knows Barrett is the Champion but he will be holding it for safekeeping. He says even though he is afraid of heights, he will climb the ladder to grab the title. Barrett says he won’t make it to the second step before he knocks him over. Truth says possession is 9 tenths of the law which makes him the big bossman #comeandgetit a big brawl ensues in the ring as Dolph, Bryan, and Ambrose are standing tall in the ring. all 6 men have a big stare down.
Randy Orton Exclusive Interview Tonight
We see Tyson Kidd, Cesaro, and Natalya headed to the ring for an 8 man tag team match up next.
We are taken back to Monday night on RAW when Los Matadores beat The Usos with help from an El Torito distraction.
We see a backstage interview from Los Matadores from earlier talking about after they lost to Cesaro and Kidd last week, they’ll do what it takes to win by any means necessary. They want to have their Wrestlemania moment.
The Usos, Xavier Woods, and Kofi Kingston vs. Cesaro, Tyson Kidd, and Los Matadores
Kofi Kingston and Fernando start the match off. Kofi starts off with a dropkick on Fernando for a one count. Kofi tags in Xavier who hits a heel kick for a 2 count. Woods with a shoulder tackle for another 2 count. Fernando tags in Diego and Diego with a dropkick. Woods then with a kick to the chest of Diego and Jimmy Uso blind tags in. Jimmy with a back body drop on Diego and then gets him in the corner with some fists. Diego fights but but Jimmy with an uppercut.Jimmy on the top turnbuckle and Diego then crotches Jimmy sending him on the mat as Smackdown goes to break.
Back from break, Diego is in control with a right hand to Jimmy and Jimmy fights back but Diego sends Jimmy into the ropes. Diego with an enziguri and tags in Fernando who comes off the rope with an elbow to Jimmy for a 2 count. Fernando with a headlock on Jimmy. Jimmy with 3 enziguri attempts, he hits Diego with the 3rd one and tags in Jey. Jey Uso cleans house as Kidd is now the legal man in. Jey with a samoan drop on Kidd and then knocks Cesaro off the apron. Jey with a splash on Kidd in the corner. Kofi blind tags in and hits a cross body on Kidd for a 2 count as Cesaro breaks up the pin. Kofi knocks cesaro out of the ring onto the apron. Diego charges at Kofi who ducks and Diego hits Cesaro knocking him to the floor. Kofi then sends Diego to the outside. Fernando then tosses Kofi out of the ring. Usos then clothesline Fernando out of the ring. Usos then do the suicide dive on all men outside the ring. Then Xavier Woods does a suicide dive on all men outside the ring.Back in the ring. Kofi rolls up Kidd for a 2 count and then Cesaro with an uppercut. Diego blind tags himself in and hits a backbreaker on Kofi for the pin and win.
winners: Los Matadores, Cesaro, and Tyson Kidd
We are taken back to last week’s RAW where Stephanie McMahon tells John Cena the only way he’ll get a match at Wrestlemania is if he gets Rusev to say yes to a United States Championship match. We see where Cena attacks Rusev after his match against Axle and locks the STF on him until Lana agrees to a match at Wrestlemania.
Renee Young isbackstage with The Miz and Damien Mizdow talking to him about his spot in the Andre The Giant Battle Royal. He lists all his accomplishments and says winning The Andre The Giant Battle Royal is the only accomplishment he doesn’t have. He says that makes him the odds on favorite to win. Mizdow says he isn’t underestimating Miz but asks him if he’s aware of the size of Ryback. Miz asks Mizdow if he’s saying he can’t beat Ryback. Miz says not only can he beat Ryback but can do it by himself. He tells Sandow to stay backstage and do chores for him.
Ryback vs. The Miz
Miz tries a take down on Ryback and Ryback lifts Miz up and sits him on the top turnbuckle and starts a “feed me more” chant. Miz charges at Ryback and gets some elbows on him but then Ryback with a right hand on Miz to knock him down. Ryback with a vertical suplex on Miz.Mizdow is looking on backstage. Miz gets out of the ring and Ryback grabs him. Miz with a cheap shot on Ryback against the ropes and gets back in the ring with right hands on Ryback. Ryback shoves Miz in the corner and charges at Miz and Miz ducks as Ryback hits the corner. Miz works Ryback on the ropes. Miz with a 2 count on Ryback. Ryback fights back but Miz gets the better of Ryback and gives him the kick to the head to knock him down. Miz goes for a shining wizard but Ryback catches him with a spinebuster. Ryback with a meat hook clothesline on Miz followed by a shell shock for the pin and win.
winner: Ryback
Up Next Roman Reigns speaks on Paul Heyman’s comments regarding him on RAW Monday night.
Roman Reigns’ music plays as he makes his way out.
Roman says week after week Heyman claims he knows him and his family. He says the reality is he has just come out there and disrespected them. He takes every opportunity he can to tell Roman he can’t. He says he won’t accept people disrespecting his family and telling him he can’t. He says come Wrestlemania he’s going to face Brock and become the WWE World Heavyweight Champion and you can believe that. Mark Henry’s music plays as he makes his way out. Henry has really slimmed down. Henry says he was listening to Roman in the back because now he’s a comedian or one too many coconuts hit him in the head. He says just like Roman, he doesn’t like anyone talking about his heritage. He tells Roman he needs to understand, he’s letting Heyman get in his head saying he can’t. Roman says he can and Henry tells him he can’t. He says he’s the world’s strongest man, he has an identity which is more than he can say for Roman. He says he’s faced Brock and he broke his arm and nearly killed him when he F5’d him on the floor. Roman tells Henry with all due respect. Henry questions the respect. He asks if he thinks Brock Lesnar, the people in the back or the fans respects him .He tells him he has to earn his respect in the WWE. Roman is about to leave the ring and Henry tells Roman that young people have no respect and gets in Roman’s face and gets a Superman punch. Henry then rolls on the outside and Roman follows and spears him. Roman grabs the mic and says to hell with “I can’t” He can and he will. Believe that.
We take a look back to Bray Wyatt calling out The Undertaker. Undertaker finally accepted the challenge telling Bray he will rest in peace at Wrestlemania.
Paige and AJ Lee are headed to the ring for tag team action up next.
Paige and AJ Lee vs. Eva Marie and Alicia Fox
Bella Twins are at commentary once again. Paige starts off against Cameron. Paige sends Cameron in the corner and tags in AJ who clotheslinesd Cameron. AJ with a splash to cameron and a neckbreaker. Summer Rae on the apron and AJ is distracted allowing Cameron to get a bulldog on AJ. Cameron gets some lefts and rights on AJ.and tags in Summer who works on AJ in the corner. Summer gets a cheap shot on Paige who goes after Summer distracting the ref allowing the double team. Summer tags in Cameron who gets some kicks on AJ. AJ fights back and tags in Paige who cleans house. Cameron tags in Summer who gets put in the PTO causing her to tap.
winners: Paige and AJ Lee
We see mark Henry backstage and Renee Young approaches him and tells him it sounds like he was antagonizing Roman intentionally. Henry said he was and Roman made a believer out of him. He isn’t saying he’ll beat Brock but that he thinks he can.
6 man tag match with Bad News Barrett, Luke Harper, and Stardust teaming up against Dolph Ziggler, Dean Ambrose, and Daniel Bryan
Up next is Randy Orton’s exclusive interview
We see where there are fans who won the honor of sitting ringside at Smackdown at an autograph session with Dolph Ziggler.
Michael Cole mentions how Orton finally declared where he stood. We are taken back 4 months ago when The Authority put him on the shelf. Cole asks how that effected him emotionally. Orton says it changed him and all he could think about was revenge on Rollins and The Authority, especially Rollins. Orton says he had his blinders on. He came back at Fast Lane and RKO’d everyone but Rollins who escaped. Orton says he did get The Authority to trust him and played mind games which were a lot of fun. Cole then talks about how Orton helped Rollins beat Roman Reigns. Orton says he used Roman like he would everyone else if it meant getting to Seth Rollins. Cole asks why Orton said what he said to Rollins. He says it was reverse psychology and him berating them was the last thing he expected. He then talks about how relieved Rollins looked was tremendous. He said he knew when he got his moment, it would be sweet. Cole asks why did he choose to do it when he did. He says since Show and Kane were sent home for butting heads, and Rollins sent J&J Security to the back, it was the golden opportunity where it was just him and Seth. He asks Cole what motivates men, to which Orton answers himself saying fear. Orton says he really enjoyed beating up on Seth Rollins. He says it was a relief to RKO Seth through that table. Cole asks Orton if he knows there will be hell to pay. Orton says yes and it will be worth it. Cole then asks what the first thing he does when he is at RAW monday night. He says find Rollins, spit in his face, and challenge him to a match at Wrestlemania.
Daniel Bryan, Dolph Ziggler, and Dean Ambrose vs. Bad News Barrett, Luke Harper, and Stardust.
Barrett and Ambrose start off with Ambrose clotheslining Barrett and elbows the abdomen and then kicks him in the crotch. Ambrose with a cheap shot to the chin and then gets Barrett in an armbar and tags in Dolph. Barrett gets a right hand on Dolph and then tags in Stardust. Stardust works on Dolph in the corner and then Dolph with a right hand on Stardust and tags in Bryan who comes off the top rope with a chop to Stardust. Bryan then locks Stardust in a surflock stretching him. Bryan then whips Stardust in the corner and gets him on the top rope and comes off with a hurricarana .Bryan then goes for the running knee but Stardust bails from the ring as Smackdown goes to break.
Back from break, Luke harper has Daniel Bryan in a sidelock as the fans are cheering for Bryan to get up. Bryan tries to fight out but Harper then slams Bryan on the mat and tags in Barrett. Barrett then sends Bryan face first into the turnbuckle. Barrett then picks Bryan up and lays him on the top rope and kicks the ribs. Barrett with a 2 count on Bryan. Barrett tags in Stardust who kicks the midsection of Bryan and Stardust tags in Harper and Harper picks up Bryan who then rolls up Harper for a 2 count. Bryan with a kick to Harper’s face. Harper tags in Stardust and Bryan tags in Ambrose who comes in and cleans house on all 3 men. Ambrose then goes off the top rope and lands on Stardust and Luke Harper on the outside. Ambrose then gets Stardust back in the ring and hits a clothesline but Barrett with a distraction. Ambrose then slams Barrett face first into the announce table. Harper with a clothesline to Ambrose on the outside as Smackdown goes to break again.
Back from break and Barrett has Ambrose in a headlock. Ambrose fights out but Barrett takes Ambrose down and tags in Stardust. Stardust works on Ambrose in the corner and gets him on the top rope and tries for a superplex but Ambrose counters and face plants him off the top rope and hits a missile dropkick. Ambrose tags in Dolph and Stardust tags in Harper. Dolph dominated Harper and hits an elbow for a 2 count. Barrett enters and gets a afameasser. Harper then gets a fameasser for a 2 count/ Harper with a roll up for a 2 count. Dolph with a superkick for a 2 count as Stardust breaks up the pin. Bryan with a kick to Stardust. Bryan then sends Barrett to the outside. Bryan and Ambrose suicide dive to Barrett and Stardust. Harper with a sit down powerbomb for a 2 count. Harper goes for a big boot but Dolph hits the zigzag and Bryan tags in and hits the running knee on Harper for the pin and the win.
winners: Dolph Ziggler, Daniel Bryan, and Dean Ambrose.
Post Match: Michael Cole comes in the ring and congratulates Bryan on his victory. Dolph tells Bryan congratulations on stealing the win from him tonight. He says that just like Bryan stole the show last year at Wrestlemania, Dolph plans to do it this year. Ambrose then says that he loves how everyone started copying him and stealing the Intercontinental title and says he thinks Dolph feels inferior to Bryan and doesn’t think he can beat him. Ambrose says Bryan is good and people think he’s a nice guy. Ambrose says the locker room knows the truth about Bryan and he’s a turd. Ambrose leaves the ring and Dolph says he doesn’t agree with Dean on a lot but that Bryan is a turd. Bryan then laughs as Dolph leaves the ring and Smackdown comes to a close.
