Join the Starman as he covers tonight’s Impact Wrestling broadcast that takes place live at the BancorpSouth Arena in Tupelo, MS.
A “Previously on Impact Wrestling” recap is aired that focuses on Sting and Hulk Hogan mending their relationship and Sting going on to earn a shot to take on Bully Ray for the TNA World Championship at Slammiversary. Kurt Angle making D’Lo Brown quit in an I Quit match is also touched upon as is the huge six-man tag team match that takes place tonight.
We head into the BancorpSouth Arena as the announce team hype tonight’s show that will feature a tag team match to decide the new #1 contenders and the six man tag team main event that will pit Aces & Eights against Kurt Angle, Sting and a mystery opponent. Speaking of Sting, his music hits as he makes his way down to the ring along with Kurt Angle.
Sting grabs a microphone and says Bully Ray deceived everyone to get his hands on the TNA World Championship but he will take it away from him in Boston at Slammiversary. Sting doesn’t want to wait until then to get his hands on him, so he has assembled a team to take them on tonight, in Tupelo, MS. Sting says he wanted the best by his side and got Angle to join him.
Angle grabs the microphone and says he made D’Lo Brown quit last week and that is just the beginning of what he is going to deliver to the Aces & Eights. Angle then turns his attention to AJ Styles and calls him out to ask him a question. Styles comes out and Angle wants to know if Styles will join them in the fight against Aces & Eights but Styles just stares blankly at Angle.
Angle demands that Styles answer the question as Sting steps between them and tries to reason with Styles. Sting tells Styles to do the right thing and wants him to join in the fight. There is still no reaction from Styles as Angle gets in his face and says Styles is either with them or against them but Styles just leaves the ring. Angle chases after him and the two shove each other before coming to blows. Referees and agents come out to break them up as Aces & Eights sneak into the ring and is dropped with a 3D from Bully Ray and Devon. Angle then runs in the ring and chases them off as we head into a commercial break.
A recap of what just went down is aired. A cameraman then follows AJ Styles in the back but Styles ignores his questions and leaves the arena.
