Angle pleads guilty in arrest case

Apr 9, 2011 - by Steve Gerweck

Former WWE and TNA champion and Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle pleaded guilty on Friday to a reckless driving charge stemming from his arrest in
North Dakota on March 25. As part of the plea bargain, if the judge accepts it, Angle will pay a $475 fine, serve a year of unsupervised probation and
undergo a chemical dependency evaluation. He will also receive a suspended sentence of 10 days in jail according to the Grand Forks Herald newspaper.

Angle did not appear in person in court but his plea was filed in court on Friday. Angle changed his version what happened twice, first telling the cops that he hit an icy patch on the road and later said that he got a text message that distracted him after the cops wrote down that the road was dry.

The former champ failed a field-sobriety test by being just over the legal limit of .08.
