Smackdown Results 12/03/10

Smackdown begins with Rey Mysterio in the ring calling out Alberto Del Rio. Del Rio comes out and Rey lets him know he is sick and tired of him. I love how they have been feuding for months. Old School for sure. Rey challenges Del Rio to a Ladder Match at the TLC PPV. Del Rio accepts, but Rey attacks him anyway, putting him through a table. Looks like we have a great match at TLC.

In Ring Action….

Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre v. Kaval and MVP

Interesting match with MVP not on the WWE roster when this aired tonight. MVP asked for his release yesterday and received it. So this is his swan song. Not a great match with Kaval not getting to show his talents very long. Dolph hits the Zig Zag for the win.

Winners- Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre

After the match Kane came out and kills everyone. He clears the ring and grabs a mic. He asks Edge for his father Paul Bearer back. Edge is seen on the jumbo tron with Paul tied up in a wheel chair. This begins the dumbest part of the night. We will see Kane chase Edge all night thinking Edge is putting Paul in harms way. But all of the accidents that keep happening to Paul are really just dummies. Each time Kane thinks he has Paul back it is just a Dummy. Well tonight we will see Kane v. Edge in a winner picks the stipulations at the PPV match.

#1 Contender’s Match Intercontinental Title

Jack Swagger v. Kofi Kingston

This was the match of the night with both men really giving it their all. Swagger should still be Main Eventing, instead of chasing the IC belt. Swagger and Kofi work a great story with the end involing many nearfalls. But in the end it was Kofi hitting an amazing Trouble in Paradise for the win.

Dashing Cody Rhodes v. Chris Masters

I still can’t believe that Masters in with WWE. He is the largest jobber I have ever seen. About a minute match with Masters giving it up the whole way. Cody hits the Beautiful Disaster followed by the inverted bulldog for the win.

Rosa Mendes v. Layla w/ Michelle McCool

Rosa has not wrestled in awhile, so this should be interesting. Quick match with Layla getting the win.

After the match Hornswaggle gets involved helping Rosa. Laycool mocks and hits Horny until we hear The Glamazon’s Music. Beth Phoenix rushes the ring and attacks Laycool. In the end she celebrates with Hornswaggle.

Main Event

Edge v. World Heavyweight Champion Kane

Winner gets to pick the stipulation at the TLC PPV

Interesting they are giving this match away before the PPV. Kane dominates early, taking out all his anger about his missing father on Edge. Edge comes back to take advantage of Kane’s emotional state. Near the end of the match Kane is out of the ring and Paul Bearer comes on the Jumbo Tron. He calls for Kane’s help. This distracts the Big Red Machine and when he goes to climb in the ring Edge catches him with a spear.

Winner-Edge

After the match Edge goes to the top of the ramp and tells Kane the match at TLC will be a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match!!! He then leave Paul there alone at the top of the ramp. Kane makes his way to Paul only to find it is not him. Kane attacks the imposter until the real Paul comes on the screen. He is strapped to the bed of a truck and is screaming for his son to save him.
