Biography

– In 2006, Rodriguez began training at Windy City Pro Wrestling
– He debuted later that year under the ring name ‘Samuray del Sol’
– In June 2011, Samuray del Sol entered the IWC Super Indy Tournament, but lost to El Generico in the first round
– In March 2012, Samuray del Sol entered the CZW Best of the Best Tournament, losing to AR Fox in the semi-final
– In December 2012, Samuray del Sol entered and won the Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup, defeating Eddie Rios, Jon Davis, Jonathan Gresham & AR Fox on his way to victory
– In March 2013, Samuray del Sol entered and won Brian Kendrick’s King of Flight Tournament, defeating AR Fox, Paul London & Ricochet on his way to victory
– On May 26, 2013, it was reported that Rodriguez had signed a WWE development deal
– In August 2013, Rodriguez reported to NXT and was given the ring name ‘Kalisto’
