Biography

– Perez got his start in his native Puerto Rico, working for the IWA promotion as ‘Eric Alexander’
– In late-2002, Alexander would win the IWA Hardcore Title several times, the belt being contested under 24-7 Rules at the time
– On November 2, 2002, Alexander defeated Justin Sane to win the IWA Intercontinental Title
– On November 10, Alexander defeated Chicano to retain the IWA Intercontinental Title
– On January 19, 2003, Alexander & Lobo defeated Miguel Perez & Abyss to win the IWA Tag Team Titles. Unfortunately, Alexander picked up an injury in February and was unable to defend the titles, so they were vacated
– On July 12, Alexander & Craven defeated Miguel Perez & Slash Venom to win the vacant IWA Tag Team Titles
– On August 2, Alexander & Craven defeated Los Boricuas (Miguel Perez & Huracan Castillo) to retain the IWA Tag Team Titles
– On August 15, Alexander & Craven defeated Slash Venom & Huracan Castillo to retain the IWA Tag Team Titles
– Alexander would pick up another injury in November 2003 and would relinquish his share of the IWA Tag Team Titles to Chicano
– Alexander left the IWA in February 2004 under unusual circumstances. Having gained employment with the US Federal Government, he was no longer able to work a full schedule with the company. He attempted to contact the company to request a reduced schedule, but did not receive any call back. After months of waiting, he requested his release, which was granted immediately!
– In August 2004, Alexander returned to wrestling with WWC, which were able to offer a reduced schedule
– On December 11, Alexander defeated El Bronco to win the WWC Puerto Rico Heavyweight Title, and would successfully defend it against El Bronco the next day
– On January 6, 2005, Alexander defeated El Bronco in a Stretcher Match to retain the WWC Puerto Rico Heavyweight Title
– On February 5, Alexander defeated Viper to retain the WWC Puerto Rico Heavyweight Title
– On September 17, Alexander & Rico Suave defeated Vengador Boricua & Joe Bravo to win the WWC Tag Team Titles
– Shortly thereafter, Alexander signed a WWE developmental deal and was assigned to Deep South Wrestling, though would continue to see out his Puerto Rican commitments until the end of the year
– In Deep South, Alexander became ‘Eric Perez’
– Perez began working ECW brand house shows in September 2006
– On November 30, Urban Assault (Perez & Sonny Siaki) defeated The Majors Brothers (Brett & Brian) to win the DSW Tag Team Titles
– On December 7, Urban Assault defeated The Gymini (Jake & Jesse) to retain the DSW Tag Team Titles
– Following WWE’s severing ties with Deep South Wrestling, Perez was reallocated to FCW
– On February 23, 2008, The Puerto Rican Nightmares (Perez & Eddie Colon) defeated Heath Miller & Steve Lewington in the final of a tournament to become the first FCW Florida Tag Team Champions, but would soon lose them to Nic Nemeth & Brad Allen
– On July 17, The Puerto Rican Nightmares defeated The Empire (Drew McIntyre & Stu Sanders) to regain the FCW Florida Tag Team Titles
– On July 31, The Puerto Rican Nightmares defeated Jack Gabriel & Afa to retain the FCW Florida Tag Team Titles
– On August 5, The Puerto Rican Nightmares defeated Shawn Spears & Nic Nemeth to retain the FCW Florida Tag Team Titles
– On August 9, The Puerto Rican Nightmares defeated Nic Nemeth & Mike Kruel to retain the FCW Florida Tag Team Titles
