Biography

– Brisco was an Oklahoma state champion wrestler at high school level and would go on to win NCAA honours in 1965
– Brisco began his pro wrestling career in the Oklahoma territory in mid-1965
– On October 16, Brisco defeated Don Kent to win the NWA Missouri Junior Heavyweight Title, but would vacate it shortly thereafter due to a controversial finish
– On November 13, Brisco defeated Kent to win the vacant NWA Missouri Junior Heavyweight Title
– On November 20, Brisco defeated Red McKim to retain the NWA Missouri Junior Heavyweight Title
– On December 4, Brisco again defeated Red McKim to retain the NWA Missouri Junior Heavyweight Title

– The Briscos were infamously involved in the events of ‘Black Saturday’. As shareholders in Georgia Championship Wrestling, the brothers convinced a majority of their partners to sell to Vince McMahon and the WWF, resulting in the demise of the promotion. The Briscos joined the WWF roster in September of 1984
– Having become dissatisfied with the state of professional wrestling, Brisco retired and left the business in February 1985. His brother Gerry would remain with the WWF
– In retirement, Brisco operated a body shop in Florida
– Both Briscos were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2008
– Brisco passed away on February 1, 2010 due to complications from a recent heart surgery
