Biography

– Lindsey began his career as ‘The Jester’, but quickly changed his ring name to Roderick Strong
– In the early 2000s, Strong formed a tag team with kayfabe brother Sedrick
– On July 19, 2003, Strong defeated David Babylon to win the NWA Florida X-Division Title
– On August 16, 2003, Strong defeated Sedrick Strong in a TLC Match to retain the NWA Florida X-Division Title
– Strong made his ROH debut at Glory By Honor II, losing a 4-Way Match to Jimmy Jacobs
– On October 11, 2003, Strong defeated Danny Doring & Jerrelle Clark in a 3-Way Match to retain the NWA Florida X-Division Title
– On November 22, 2003, Strong defeated Lex Lovett to retain the NWA Florida X-Division Title
– 4 days later, Strong made his TNA debut, teaming with Caprice Coleman in a loss to The Gathering (CM Punk & Julio Dinero). He would continue to make jobber appearances over the next few months
– On February 21, 2004, Strong defeated Mikey Batts to regain the NWA Florida X-Division Title
– On March 20, 2004, Strong defeated Dan Maff to retain the NWA Florida X-Division Title

– At Unbreakable ’05, Austin Aries defeated Strong in a ‘Showcase Match’. Both were signed to TNA contracts soon after
– At Genesis ’05, Strong, Christopher Daniels, Samoa Joe & Alex Shelley defeated Chris Sabin, Austin Aries, Matt Bentley & Sonjay Dutt
– At Final Battle ’05, Generation Next (Aries & Strong) defeated Sal Rinauro & Tony Mamaluke to win the ROH Tag Team Titles
– In December 2005, Strong embarked on his first tour of Japan, competing for Dragon Gate
– At Final Resolution ’06, Strong, Aries & Alex Shelley defeated Chris Sabin, Matt Bentley & Sonjay Dutt
– On January 27, 2006, Generation Next defeated Bryan Danielson & Jay Lethal to retain the ROH Tag Team Titles. They retained against Lacey’s Angels (Jimmy Jacobs & BJ Whitmer) the next day
– Strong was suspended by TNA following his late arrival at the Against All Odds ’06 PPV
– At ROH’s 4th Anniversary Show, Generation Next defeated AJ Styles & Matt Sydal to retain the ROH Tag Team Titles
– On March 28, 2006, Strong returned to TNA telvision, but only made one more televised appearance before his release in April
– On April 1, 2006, Generation Next defeated Blood Generation (Naruki Doi & CIMA) to retain the ROH Tag Team Titles
– At ROH’s 100th Show Celebrations, Generation Next defeated The Rottweilers (Homicide & Ricky Reyes) to retain the ROH Tag Team Titles. Over the next few weeks, they retained against Matt Sydal & Samoa Joe, The Embassy (Alex Shelley & Jimmy Rave) and The Briscoes (Mark & Jay)
– On June 3, 2006, Generation Next defeated The Briscoes to retain the ROH Tag Team Titles. The stable would disband following the event, though Aries & Strong remained as a tag team
– A week later, Aries & Strong defeated Fast and Furious (Jay Fury & Jerrelle Clark) to retain the ROH Tag Team Titles
– On June 17, 2006, Aries & Strong defeated Colt Cabana & Nigel McGuinness to retain the ROH Tag Team Titles
– On July 9, 2006, Aries & Strong defeated Muscle Outlawz (Masato Yoshino & Naruki Doi) in Tokyo, Japan to retain the ROH Tag Team Titles. The titles were officially referred to as the ROH World Tag Team Titles following this match
– Two days later, Aries & Strong defeated Do FIXER (Genki Horiguchi & Ryo Saito) in Shizuoka, Japan to retain the ROH Tag Team Titles
– The next day, Strong & Matt Sydal defeated Blood Generation (CIMA & Don Fujii), Muscle Outlawz (Masato Yoshino & Jimmy Rave) and Do FIXER (Ryo Saito & Dragon Kid) in an Elimination Match to win the Dragon Gate Wrestle JAM Cup
– On August 4, 2006, Aries & Strong defeated Adam Pearce & BJ Whitmer, The Embassy (Jimmy Rave & Sal Rinauro) and The Rottweilers (Homicide & Ricky Reyes) in an Ultimate Endurance Match to retain the ROH Tag Team Titles
– The next day, Aries & Strong defeated Irish Airborne (Dave & Jake Crist), Jack Evans & Matt Sydal and The Briscoes (Mark & Jay) in an Ultimate Endurance Match to retain the ROH Tag Team Titles
– On August 12, 2006, Aries & Strong defeated The Briscoes in Liverpool, England to retain the ROH Tag Team Titles
– On August 25, 2006, Aries & Strong defeated BJ Whitmer & Samoa Joe to retain the ROH Tag Team Titles
– The next day, Aries & Strong defeated Christopher Daniels & Matt Sydal to retain the ROH Tag Team Titles
– On November 10, 2006, Strong defeated Bryan Danielson in a Title vs Career Match to win the FIP Heavyweight Title, having defeated Danielson by DQ earlier in the night
– One week later, Strong & Davey Richards defeated B-Boy & Super Dragon to win the PWG Tag Team Titles, but would lose them back the following night
– On November 25, 2006, Strong defeated SHINGO to retain the FIP Heavyweight Title
– On December 15, 2006, Strong defeated Steve Madison to retain the FIP Heavyweight Title. He would retain against Davey Richards and Hallowicked before the month was out
– On January 13, 2007, Strong defeated Brent Albright to retain the FIP Heavyweight Title
– On February 2, 2007, Strong defeated Davey Richards in an I Quit Match to retain the FIP Heavyweight Title. He repeated the feat in a Best of 3 Falls Match the next day
– On February 17, 2007, Strong defeated Delirious to retain the FIP Heavyweight Title
– On March 3, 2007, Strong defeated PAC to retain the FIP Heavyweight Title in Liverpool, England. The title would officially be referred to as the FIP World Heavyweight Title following this match
