WWE has its own “champ champ” in the form of the Irish Lass Kicker, Becky Lynch.
In a match that lasted 21 minutes and started just after Midnight ET, Lynch captured both titles in the winner-take-all bout after she pinned Ronda Rousey. Rousey went for her Piper’s Pit finisher but Lynch countered with a crucifix pin. Ronda’s shoulders were up at least for the first count but the referee didn’t see it and went ahead with the three count, awarding the match to Lynch.
Just seconds earlier, Ronda and Becky disposed of Flair after they drove her through a table, but the table never broke.
The 32-year-old made history tonight along with Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair, becoming the first females to ever main event WrestleMania in its 35-year history. Rousey had her theme song performed live by Joan Jett while Charlotte arrived via helicopter.
