WWE employee layoffs to take place tomorrow

WWE President Nick Khan has just issued an email to all employees announcing that they are all to work remotely on Friday of this week as the company will begin post-Endeavor acquisition layoffs.
Employees have been asked to remain home and work from there tomorrow so that the human resources department can make the layoffs privately.
Maybe if Nick Khan and all the other executives didn’t get $15 million in bonuses, they wouldn’t need to fire all these people.

From a financial standpoint, yes. But, after a merger some positions simply become redundant. Most likely not many of the layoffs will relate to the on-air product since WWE and UFC will basically continue to operate separately – it’ll be more administrative or executive-level, behind the scenes stuff. You don’t need two CFOs, for example, or COOs, and while bloated middle management is a real thing, at some point you can only have so many VPs. Don’t cry for them, they’ll be fine, but the real pain will come for all the teams and assistants and such under them whose names we’ll never hear because we never heard them while they were employed by what is now TKO.
