AEW Dynamite rating/viewership for this week

Wednesday’s live edition of AEW Dynamite drew 930,000 viewers on TBS, according to Nielsen via Showbuzz Daily.

This is up 2.09% from last week’s episode, which drew 911,000 viewers.

This week’s Dynamite drew a 0.32 rating in the key 18-49 demographic. This is up 10.34% from last week’s 0.29 rating. This week’s 0.32 key demographic rating represents 417,000 viewers who watched the show from that 18-49 demo. This is up 10.61% from last week’s 377,000 18-49 viewers that the 0.29 key demo rating represented, according to Wrestlenomics.

Dynamite ranked #6 on the Cable Top 150 this week with the 0.32 rating in the 18-49 key demographic. This is down from last week’s #3 ranking.

Dynamite ranked #56 in viewership for the night on cable this week. This is down from last week’s #30 ranking.

Wednesday’s Dynamite drew the twelfth-lowest total audience of the year so far, tied with the April 20 episode, and the twelfth-lowest key demo rating of the year so far, tied with six other episodes. Sports competition last night included two NBA games on ESPN, two NHL games on TNT, College Football on ESPN2, and Seleccion Mexicana on TUDN. Wednesday’s Dynamite viewership was up 2.09% from last week, while the 18-49 key demo rating was up 10.34% from last week.

This week’s Dynamite viewership was up 1.86% from the same week in 2021. The key demo rating was down 5.88% from the previous year.

The NBA game between the Lakers and the Clippers on ESPN at 10:05pm topped the night in the 18-49 demographic on the Cable Top 150 with a 0.55 rating, also drawing 1.479 million viewers. Tucker Carlson Tonight on FOX News topped the night on cable in viewership with 4.428 million viewers, also drawing a 0.40 key demo rating for the #3 spot on the Cable Top 150.

The CMA Awards on ABC topped the night on network TV in viewership with an average of 7.574 million viewers. The CMA Awards also topped the night on network TV in the 18-49 key demo with a 1.05 rating.

Last night’s live edition of AEW Dynamite aired from the Agganis Arena in Boston, MA, and featured several happenings advertised ahead of time – Jay Lethal vs. Trent Beretta, promos by MJF and AEW World Champion Jon Moxley, Jamie Hayter vs. Skye Blue, Tony Schiavone hosting a face-to-face meeting between Saraya and Britt Baker, Eddie Kingston vs. Ethan Page in a first-round match in the AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament, Austin Gunn and Colten Gunn teaming with Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland to face AEW World Tag Team Champions The Acclaimed and IWGP, AAA & ROH World Tag Team Champions FTR, plus Bryan Danielson vs. Sammy Guevara in a 2 of 3 Falls match, which was the main event.
