WWE Smackdown viewership/rating for last week

Friday’s live Hell In a Cell go-home edition of WWE SmackDown drew an average of 1.939 million viewers on FOX, according to Nielsen, via Showbuzz Daily.

This final number is up 3.25% from the previous week’s final viewership of 1.878 million viewers.

Friday’s SmackDown drew a 0.47 rating in the key 18-49 demographic. This is up 9.30% from the previous week’s 0.43 rating. This week’s 0.47 key demo rating represents 613,000 18-49 viewers, which is up 9.27% from the 561,000 18-49 viewers that the previous week’s 0.43 key demo rating drew, according to Wrestlenomics.

SmackDown ranked #1 in ratings for the key 18-49 demographic on network TV, up from the previous week’s #1 ranking. SmackDown ranked #3 in the 18-34 demo this week, down from the previous week’s #1 ranking, ending a four-week run at #1. SmackDown ranked #2 in the 25-54 demo, down from the previous week’s #1 ranking, ending three weeks at the top. SmackDown came in at #7 for the night in viewership on network TV, up from the previous week’s #8 ranking. While SmackDown topped the night on network TV in the key demo rating, 20/20 on ABC topped the night in viewership on network TV this week with 3.436 million viewers.

Friday’s live SmackDown drew the eighth-lowest audience in the history of the show on FOX for non-FS1 episodes, and the sixth-lowest key demo rating, tied with one other episode. SmackDown drew the best key demo viewership since April 15. The show had some cable competition from the NHL Playoffs this week, but it was a fairly normal night on TV. Friday’s viewership was up 3.25% from the previous week’s episode, while the key demo rating was up 9.30% from the previous week’s episode.

Viewership for Friday’s SmackDown episode was up 2.97% from the same week in 2021, while Friday’s 18-49 key demo rating was down 6% from the same week in 2021.

The NHL Conference Finals game between New York and Tampa Bay on ESPN topped the night on the Cable Top 150 with a 0.74 key demo rating, also drawing 2.324 million viewers. The Five on FOX News topped the night on cable in viewership with 3.095 million viewers, also drawing a 0.22 key demo rating.

Friday’s final SmackDown before Hell In a Cell aired live from the Schottenstein Center in Columbus, Ohio, with the following line-up advertised – the go-home build for Hell In a Cell, Madcap Moss returning for revenge on Happy Baron Corbin, Natalya winning the Six-Pack Challenge to determine the next #1 contender to SmackDown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey, plus Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos defending against Riddle and Shinsuke Nakamura, which was the main event.
