WWE Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon announced on social media that effective tomorrow, she will be taking a leave of absence from her WWE duties to focus on her family.

“As of tomorrow, I am taking a leave of absence from the majority of my responsibilities at WWE,” she wrote. “WWE is a lifelong legacy for me and I look forward to returning to the company that I love after taking this time to focus on my family.”

McMahon, who was promoted to her current role in 2013, did not elaborate on why she is stepping aside for now. Her husband, Triple H, suffered a cardiac event last September and nearly died.

WWE did not say who will be stepping into her role for the time being. McMahon did not give a timeframe for her return.

I hope the ratings go up while she’s gone.
