R-Truth says he never thought CM Punk was impressive

Aug 26, 2021 - by Marc Middleton

Veteran WWE Superstar R-Truth is not impressed with AEW star CM Punk.

Truth took a shot at Punk this week when responding to a video on TikTok. A fan posted a snippet from Punk’s 2014 appearance on Colt Cabana’s Art of Wrestling podcast, where Punk talked about being unhappy with the later years of his WWE run, specifically mentioning how WWE had he and Triple H lose a tag team match to Truth and The Miz at the 2011 Vengeance pay-per-view. Punk felt like the match was bad business at the time.

Truth responded to the clip and said he was never impressed with Punk, thinking he was entitled.

“CM Punk you lost to me and Miz cause we were HOTTER than you sorry, and I neva thought you were impressive at all, just typical entitlement,” Truth wrote.

    Not impressed with Punk ever either, but I do find it odd that fans think that since Punk is trending that ALL WRESTLERS SHOULD SUPPORT HIS EVERY MOVE.

    When Raven said the same thing about your 195 lb WWE Champion, nobody batted an eye or shed a tear. When RTRUTH or BOOKER T didn’t throw babies in the air for him, panties get bunched and hearts get broken.

    Grown men are allowed to disagree regardless of it is popular. Wrestling is SUBJECTIVE, not OBJECTIVE… so technically nobody can be wholly right or wholly wrong.

    I don’t like all my coworkers and neither do you. A coworker didn’t like CMPUNK.

    Gee…..what a shocker.

    A clown like R-Truth not being impressed with CM Punk…
    Very meaningful for the wrestling world. Especially when you think about how many tickets the clown sells and how many Tickets Punk sells. How many times did an arena explode for the clown like it did for CM Punk (not only on his return)? Never? That’s what I thought.

    Shawn Michaels was never impressed with Chris Jericho.
    Vince was never overly impressed with Samoa Joe.
    Just because they weren’t “impressed” doesn’t mean anything in the here and now.
    The 49ers wanted to trade up to acquire Dan Marino because the front office wasn’t impressed with Joe Montana.
    It’s all just a matter of opinion folks. Relax.

    @TrollBuster

    RAW had their lowest ratings when he was champion. Just saying.
