A WWE Release

Feb 4, 2021 - by Steve Gerweck

WWE have released former Forgotten Sons and current Knights Of The Lone Wolf member Steve Cutler.

Steve Cutler, who was part of The Forgotten Sons, has been released by WWE. In a short statement on WWE.COM, the company said, “WWE has come to terms on the release of Steve Cutler. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.” Acknowledging his firing on Twitter, Cutler wrote, “Unfortunately, today I was released. It was shocking, to say the least. But, I am excited about the future and all the possibilities in front of me. Thanks for your continued support. 90 days…the countdown begins.” After a run in NXT, Cutler and his tag team partners Jaxson Ryker and Wesley Blake made their debut on Smackdown but were taken off television after a few political tweets from Ryker stirred the pot, drawing anger from his fellow peers. Cutler then was teamed with Blake and returned to the blue brand in December, aligning themselves with King Corbin while Ryker was shipped to Raw where he is now aligned with Elias. He has been working with WWE since 2014, spending most of his time with the NXT brand.

I’m guessing him and the other spineless guy turned on Jakson Ryker and it blew up in their faces. Good.

  2. Nolo King says:

I retract the previous statement. I do wish him well. Just bugs me how they everyone demonized Ryker and he was turned on by his fellow mates. No one deserves to lose employment, not even those you disagree with.

  3. Disgruntled Jobber says:

Blessing in disguise. Now he can go to AEW, Impact, MLW or NWA and actually get ring and TV time. The benefit of no longer being employed by a company that prefers to only have two or three matches during a three hour show and instead fill it with pointless backstage skits and talk shows.

@Nolo he turned his mates and the rest of the locker room by himself, using George Floyd backlash to promote his gimmick. Awful on Rykers part, yet sad that he’s promoted on TV while Cutlers gone.

“Thankful for the @POTUS we have! God bless America. Built of freedom. Forgotten No More”

That’s literally the entire tweet that everyone is freaking out about. Adding the catchphrase has nothing to do with the outrage People are just mad that he didn’t have the same amount of hatred that many have for the president. The catchphrase argument is used as an excuse to bully the guy.

I don’t see anything wrong with the tweet and am happy he didn’t back down to the bullies. He’s got an impressive physique, good on the mic and decent on the ring. Him being patriotic in a time where hatred towards USA is trendy is a welcome change, in my opinion.
