Biography
– Fraizer began his career working on the Gulf Coast, but would gain his first real exposure at the hands of Jerry’s Jarrett and Lawler in the Mid-America territory
– At this stage of his career, he would wrestle under a variety of gimmicks, including The Country Plowboy, The Convict and Giant Fraizer
– On February 19, 1978, Fraizer & Terry Sawyer defeated Dennis Condrey & Phil Hickerson to win the Mid-America Southern Tag Team Titles
– On January 26, 1981, Fraizer & Ted DiBiase defeated The Fabulous Freebirds (Michael Hayes & Buddy Roberts) to win the NWA National Tag Team Titles, but lost them back a week later
– Fraizer joined the WWF as Uncle Elmer in 1985, a member of The Hillbillies
– Fraizer legitimately married Joyce Stazko in the ring on the October 5, 1985 episode of Saturday Night’s Main Event. The couple remained together for the rest of his life
– Fraizer left the WWF in mid-1986 and rejoined CWA under the name ‘Giant Hillbilly’
– On June 23, Giant Hillbilly & Jerry Lawler defeated The MOD Squad (Basher & Spike) to win the AWA Southern Tag Team Titles
– On November 17, Giant Hillbilly defeated Goliath to win the CWA Super Heavyweight Title
– Fraizer retired from active competition in late 1989, following a run with the USWA
– Fraizer’s weight caused a variety of health issues in his later life and he would pass away of kidney failure on July 1, 1992 at the age of 54
