Jericho admits he had COVID-19 in September

During the latest episode of Talk Is Jericho, former AEW champion Chris Jericho revealed that he had coronavirus in September and it was the first time that he’s saying it publicly.

“I had zero symptoms. I had my ten days in isolation and stayed away from everybody. I didn’t have a symptom. I didn’t even know that I had it,” Jericho said.

He got to find out when he went to take the test even though he was asymptomatic and had a surprise reaction to the positive outcome. Jericho said he took three further tests to make sure it was not a false positive but they all came positive. “I didn’t have a headache. I didn’t have a cough, which is a lucky thing,” he continued.

Jericho was the subject of several online criticism after he and his band Fozzy decided to play a concert during Sturgis in August. That event led to approximately 250,000 new infections.

Fellow AEW star Nick Jackson also revealed last week that he had COVID-19 in September.

Anyone remember when he said he didn’t have it back in August?
“Tested Negative w the swab for the 12th time”

Yes, I know that was August and he’s saying he had it in September, but the irony is too good not to point out.

Anyone remember when McIntyre said he had it and everyone acted like the world was ending, then Jericho was like “yeah, I had it four months ago and wouldn’t even have known if I hadn’t gotten a test” and everyone was like “eh, whatever?”

On the other hand, having no symptoms is indeed a “lucky thing” like he says. After all, only 40% – almost half – of the people who catch this dreaded disease experience no symptoms whatsoever.
