Reason behind WWE’s suspension of Braun Strowman

Nov 27, 2020 - by Steve Gerweck

Dave Meltzer is reported on Monday night that it was scheduled to be Braun Strowman vs. Drew McIntyre for the WWE title at TLC. But an angle was done to suspend Strowman on Raw Monday. He has an update on why that was done.

Strowman apparently injured his knee at Survivor Series and WWE did those qualifying matches with the winners having a 3 way this Monday as their back up plan in case Braun can’t go at TLC. Braun will be checked out this weekend and if he’s cleared he’ll be added somehow into the 3 way on RAW. If not they’ll just have the 3 men on Raw wrestle for the number 1 contendership as scheduled right now.

And if he is not cleared before the 3-way, the WWE has options:

    1) Have him come back and destroy all three of the guys in the 3-way so they ‘can’t compete’ at PPV

    2) Somehow add him to title match with some odd plan

    3) Simply act like the 3-way never happened and put him in PPV match (Based on recent WWE booking, this is the most likely option)
