Long time ring announcer let go

Longtime WWE ring announcer Tony Chimel was released by the company last week along with a small group of front office personnel.

The news was first reported by PWInsider.

Chimel had been with WWE since 1989, and was the regular Smackdown ring announced from 1999 to 2007.
