Biography

– Williams received an athletic scholarship to play football at the University of North Carolina
– In the 2013 NFL Draft, Williams was a 3rd round pick for the Texans. He missed the entirety of that season due to a knee injury and was released in July 2014
– In 2015, Williams was under contract first with the Jaguars, then the Patriots, but was cut both times
– In October 2015, Williams began training under Booker T at his Reality Of Wrestling school
– Williams made his professional debut on February 6, 2016, wrestling as ‘Marcellus Black’ to defeat Cedric Pain
– On August 1, 2016, Williams signed with WWE
– Williams (back under his real name) wrestled his first WWE match at an NXT live event on September 30, 2016, competing in a Battle Royal
– In June 2019, Williams became known as ‘Dio Maddin’
– In September 2019, Maddin joined the commentary booths for 205 Live and then Monday Night Raw
– In November 2019, Maddin was removed from Raw commentary to undergo further training at NXT
– On the September 21, 2020 episode of Raw, Maddin re-debuted as a member of the Retribution stable, eventually revealing his new name to be ‘Mace’. Unfortunately, the Retribution stable was booked horribly and was panned by fans and critics alike
– In the 2021 Draft, Mace was moved to Smackdown
– In April 2022, Mace re-debuted under the tweaked name of ‘ma.çé’, a member of the Maximum Male Models group
