ROH Pure Title Tournament Week 3

This edition of Ring of Honor television begins with a brand new video intro along with the new theme song added 2 weeks ago.

We begin with Quinn McKay discusses the results from the last two nights and showcases David Finlay defeating Rocky Romero & Matt Sydal defeating Delirious.

We will see David Finlay vs. Jay Lethal & also Jonathan Gresham vs. Matt Sydal in the second round.

The first match for night 3 will be Fred Yehi vs. Silas Young, but first they show promos from each individual.

Fred Yehi discusses in a promo that he is the Savage Weight and how he overcame a bad environment but since a child he was determined to become a professional wrestler where he wrestled collegiate & amateur wrestling. He says he knows that Silas Young is 18 year veteran but he will beat him because he can beat anyone.

Silas Young discusses his life in how he had 5 older brothers and got his ass beat a lot and it made him stronger. He looked up to Nigel McGuinness, Chris Sabin & Jimmy Jacobs and truly wanted to be a part of Ring of Honor. He discusses how he is coming into the match with different strategies that no one will be able to study. From the promo it seems that Silas Young is still a babyface.

On commentary tonight we have Ian Riccaboni & Caprice Coleman.

Will Ferrara, Sumie Sakai & Gary Juster are the judges if the match reaches a 15 Minute Draw.

1st Round Match, Block A:
Fred Yehi vs. Silas Young

Fred Yehi defeats Silas Young via pinfall (Small Package) in 13:00.

The second match of the night is Josh Woods vs. Kenny King and it opens up with promos for each individual.

Josh Woods discusses how he won the 2017 Top Prospect Tournament. Mentions how he is a 4x All American in wrestling. He looks forward to showing his technical ability. He plans on using Kenny King’s arrogance against him, he mentions that Kenny King has been the locker room leader and he looks up to him. He wants to earn King’s respect. He said he has been training everyday during the pandemic.

Kenny King mentions that he has been wrestling for 20 years. He plans on grabbing the Pure Title since his stable mates Dragon Lee & Rush (La Faccion Ingobernable) has the other singles titles in the company. He said that he isn’t taking Josh Woods lightly. King discusses how he’ll use his size, speed & aerial moves to take care of business. He finishes by saying that you might be good kid but you aren’t no K-I-N-G.

1st Round Match, Block B:
Josh Woods vs. Kenny King

Time Limit Draw: Josh Woods wins via Judges Decision

Next week on Week 4 of the ROH Pure Tournament will see Rust Taylor vs. Tracy Williams & also Tony Deppen vs. PJ Black
