Why is WWE running Payback one week after SummerSlam

Dave Meltzer reports that the reasons for Payback being a week after Summer Slam is because it’ll be a type of “Summer Slam night 2”.

PPV haven’t been going past 3 hours since the pandemic started so Vince McMahon wanted to do another event promoting matches that could have been on Summer Slam.
