WWE Further Takes Action in NXT UK Sexual Misconduct Accusations

Jun 30, 2020 - by James Walsh

WWE was set to hold a “mandatory” conference call today to discuss the NXT UK brand.

According to Dave Meltzer, the call was said be about a “reminder of company policy” but the company did take further action in regards to the recent accusations made against NXT UK talent. Meltzer noted the following:

“As far as the conference call with UK talent, it was largely Paul Levesque telling them explicitly what the protocol was regarding sexual abuse allegations. He said that there would be zero tolerance on any charges, provided there was irrefutable evidence to the charges.”

Referees Joel Allen and Chris Roberts were released and wrestler Joe Coffey was suspended.

There was no word regarding possible changes to the brand and it’s believed that production will start up again once the company is allowed to do so in the UK market.
