ROH booker open to collaborating with AEW at some point
ROH booker Marty Scurll says he wouldn’t rule out the possibility of his promotion collaborating with All Elite Wrestling at some point.
Scurll, who signed a multi-year contract with Ring of Honor in January, talked about this on the inaugural ROHStrong podcast.
“Both parties are definitely willing to work with each other. It’s just a matter of timing, I guess,” he said. “I’m not saying anything will happen, I’m just saying I wouldn’t rule it out. There’s no reason why we wouldn’t. It’s just that the timing needs to be correct and it needs to be a fitting situation for us to work together. I personally would like to see it happen at some point.”
It’s no secret Marty has a storied history with the core group at AEW, including the Young Bucks, whom Scurll says he still speaks with “on a regular basis.” He also says he’s on good terms with AEW President and CEO Tony Khan.
Regarding his decision to re-sign with ROH, Scurll reiterated that he “definitely considered” going to AEW but decided to “take something like Ring of Honor and make it in my vision and help the wrestling scene.”
When it comes to the future and the two companies joining forces, however, Scurll graces the prospect with some famous last words: “never say never.”
