Biography

– Wolfe first came to prominence in 1989 as an enhancement talent for WWF, regularly working alongside Tony Durante, his future Pitbulls team-mate
– In 1990, Wolfe & Durante regularly competed for SAPW as The American Bulldogs, Rex (Durante) and Spike (Wolfe)
– On September 11, 1990, The Pitbulldogs (Rex & Spike) defeated The Nasty Boys (Brian Knobbs & Jerry Sags) to win the SAPW Tag Team Titles
– On November 3, The Pitbulldogs defeated Vince Torelli & Tommy Seabolt to retain the SAPW Tag Team Titles
– On November 17, The Pitbulldogs defeated Tommy Seabolt & Ranger Ross to retain the SAPW Tag Team Titles
– In July 1991, Wolfe and Durante had a run with New Japan Pro Wrestling as The Mad Bull Busters
– In April 1992, Wolfe & Durante joined ECW as The Pitbulls, but only lasted a month with the company
– Wolfe returned to ECW in December 1993, beginning a singles run as ‘The Pitbull’
