10/30/19 AEW Dynamite Recap
Dynamite opens with Tony Schiavone at the airport, while Dustin Rhodes and Cody emerge from their plane. Dustin goes one way, while Schiavone and Cody get into a limousine bound for the arena. Footage of the aftermath of the match between PAC and Jon Moxley from last week is shown. PAC vs. Adam Page is confirmed for Full Gear on November 9th. Moxley is shown barging into Tony Khan’s office and they argue after Khan informs Moxley his match against Kenny Omega at Full Gear will be unsanctioned.
The opening credits roll. Excalibur and Jim Ross are on commentary. They run down the card for tonight’s show.

Match #1 – Singles Match: Adam Page vs. Sammy Guevara
They lock up and back each other into the ropes. Page delivers a few chops and then a kick to the face. Page delivers a suplex and goes for the cover, but Guevara kicks out. Guevara comes back with a side headlock, but Page gets free. Guevara delivers a dropkick and backs Page into the corner. Guevara delivers a couple of chops, but Page comes back with some of his own. Guevara hits a pump kick and goes for a cross-body, but Page catches him and delivers a fall-away slam. Page clotheslines Guevara to the floor and goes after him, but Guevara drops him on the apron. Guevara slams Page into the barricade and tosses him back into the ring. Guevara delivers a forearm shot and slams him to the mat. Guevara goes for the cover, but Page kicks out. Guevara stomps on Page and goes up top. Guevara comes off the top, but Page counters and drops Guevara with a lariat. Page clotheslines Guevara in the corner and kicks him in the face. Page delivers a suplex and sets up for the Dead Eye on the apron, but Guevara counters with an enzuigiri.
Page comes back and slams Guevara onto the apron and then delivers a power bomb in the ring. Page goes for the cover, but Guevara kicks out. Page tosses Guevara to the floor and takes him out with a moonsault. Page tosses Guevara back into the ring and goes for the Buckshot, but Guevara dodges. Page kicks Guevara in the chest, but Guevara comes back with a knee. Page sends Guevara off the ropes and delivers the Buckshot Lariat and gets the pin fall.
Winner: Adam Page
-After the match, Page says things haven’t been going well for him lately, but tonight felt good. He says he is going to do some real cowboy shit at Full Gear and says he will make PAC’s life hell.

Match #2 – Singles Match: Shanna vs. Hikaru Shida
They lock up and Shanna goes behind for a waist-lock. Shida counters into one of her own, but Shanna wrenches Shida’s arm and applies a wrist-lock. Shanna drops Shida to the mat with a few arm-drags and then kicks her in the midsection. Shanna drops Shida with a neck-breaker and goes for the cover, but Shida kicks out. Shida comes back with a kick of her own, but Shanna sends her to the floor. Shanna runs the ropes, but Shida knees her in the midsection. Shida grabs a chair from under the ring and sets it up on the floor. She delivers a running knee using the chair as an extra step and tosses Shanna back into the ring. Shida delivers a few more knees and then a back-breaker. Shida goes for the cover, but Shanna kicks out. Shida delivers a few more kicks and right hands and then a running knee in the corner. Shida goes for the cover, but Shanna kicks out. Shanna comes back with a few chops, but Shida delivers knee strikes. Shanna comes back with a roll-up for two, but Shida comes back with right hands. Shida delivers another elbow strike as the show heads to a commercial.
Back from the break, Shanna delivers a headbutt to Shida and then delivers a double stomp from the top. Shanna goes for the cover, but Shida kicks out. Shanna goes for a Tiger Driver, but Shida counters and delivers a sunset driver. Shida goes up top and pulls Shanna up with her. Shida delivers a suplex and goes for the cover, but Shanna kicks out. Shida goes for a running knee, but Shanna counters with a roll-up for two. They exchange quick roll-ups and then Shanna kicks Shida in the midsection. Shida comes back with a running knee and then plants Shanna with a Falcon Arrow, but Shanna kicks out of the cover. Shida delivers another knee strike and gets the pin fall.
Winner: Hikaru Shida

Chris Van Vliet interviews The Rock ‘n Roll Express. Before the Express can say much, they are attacked by Santana and Ortiz. They beat Morton and Gibson down and then power bomb Morton through a part of the stage. The Young Bucks rush out to help, but Santana and Ortiz leave before they get there.

Cody and Schiavone are shown in the limo, still en route to the arena, sharing stories along the way.

Match #3 – Six-Man Tag Team Match: QT Marshall, Alex Reynolds, and John Silver vs. Best Friends (Chuck Taylor and Trent Beretta) and Orange Cassidy
Taylor and Silver start the match and Taylor drops him with a shoulder block. Beretta tags in and he and Taylor double team Silver an take him to the mat. Beretta applies a front face-lock and then Reynolds and Marshall knock Taylor and Cassidy to the floor. They triple clothesline Beretta in the corner, but Beretta takes Silver down with a tornado DDT and tags in Taylor. Taylor drops Reynolds to the floor and takes Marshall down with Sliced Bread. Beretta tags in and Taylor hit Silver with a knee. Beretta delivers a single leg dropkick to Silver and then he and Taylor drop Reynolds to the mat and then go for a hug, but Marshall interrupts. Cassidy gets into the ring and hits Marshall with a few of his superkicks and then dropkicks him to the floor. Taylor and Beretta hug Cassidy and then he takes Marshall out with a suicide dive. Taylor and Beretta drop Silver with Strong Zero and Beretta gets the pin fall.
Winners: Best Friends and Orange Cassidy

Contract Signing: Chris Jericho and Cody
Schiavone introduces both guys and Cody signs the contract almost immediately. Jericho flips through the contract and acts like he is going to flip the table onto Cody, but just laughs. Jericho says the match is too important to flip a table on Cody or to power bomb him through it. Jericho says it is the biggest match of Cody’s career because if he wins, he will finally be the World Champion, but if he loses it will prove Cody isn’t as good as he thinks he is. Jericho says he is going to sign the contract and teach Cody a lesson on what it’s like to be a loser. Cody takes his jacket off and both men stand up. Jericho says they are both professionals and extends his hand for a handshake. Cody accepts and then pulls Jericho face to face. They stare each other down and Jericho says Cody might be needed elsewhere. Sammy Guevara appears on the screen and then Jake Hager is shown attacks Dustin Rhodes in the parking lot. Hager slams Dustin into the limo and delivers a low blow. Hager slams Dustin’s arm in the car door as Cody and MJF run Hager and Guevara off. The Inner Circle gets in their SUV and leaves the arena.

Match #4 – Six-Man Tag Team Match: Kip Sabian and The Hybrid 2 (Angelico and Jack Evans) vs. The Elite (Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson, and Nick Jackson)
Angelico, Evans, and Sabian attack The Elite from behind and Sabian takes the Bucks out with a suicide dive. Omega comes back and drops Angelico and Evans in the ring and Sabian gets back into the ring, as do the Bucks. The Bucks and Omega triple team Sabian, but Evans and Angelico pull the Bucks to the floor and slam them into the barricade. Evans delivers an enzuigiri to Omega and then takes him out with a suicide dive. Sabian and Matt are in the ring and Sabian takes control. Angelico and Evans get into the ring and double team Matt. Angelico applies a submission as the show heads to a commercial.
Back from the break, the Bucks are in control of Sabian. The Elite keep control and Omega tags in. Omega sends Evans to the floor with the V Trigger and runs the ropes, but Sabian cuts him off. The Bucks and Omega drop Sabian with triple superkicks and the Omega drops Angelico with the One Winged Angel and gets the pin fall.
Winners: The Elite
-After the match, Santana and Ortiz attack The Bucks in the crowd.

Peter Avalon and Leva Bates come to the ring, but Jon Moxley comes to the ring and lays Avalon out with a Paradigm Shift. Moxley says his match with Omega at Full Gear is now an Unsanctioned Match. He says it has no rules, which is all good, but it doesn’t count for records, which pisses him off. He says AEW wants to treat him like a freak and an outsider, but he has been dealing with this for his entire life. Moxley says if this is how it is going to be, AEW can shove the win-loss records up their ass. He says he is the sickest son of a bitch in the game and there isn’t a soul that’s going to prove him off. He says he is unsanctionable and out of control. He says we haven’t seen anything yet and he is going to beat Omega within an inch of his life and Omega’s blood will be on AEW’s hands. He tells everyone to kiss his ass and stay out of his way.

Match #5 – AEW World Tag Team Championship Tournament Final Match: Lucha Brothers (Pentagon Jr and Rey Fenix) vs. SCU (Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky)
Kazarian and Pentagon start the match and exchange slaps and shots. Sky and Fenix get into the ring and SCU beat down Lucha Brothers. Lucha Brothers fight back and drop Kazarian and Sky to the mat. Pentagon slams Kazarian to the mat and goes for the cover, but Kazarian kicks out. Sky slams Fenix into the steps on the floor and decks Pentagon with right hands. Pentagon fights back with kicks and then drops Sky with a Slingblade. Pentagon delivers an elbow to Sky and Fenix tags in. Kazarian and Fenix exchange shots in the ring and Kazarian drops him with a scoop slam. Kazarian delivers an elbow drop and causes Pentagon to kick Fenizx in the back. Kazarian drops Pentagon over the ropes and Sky takes Pentagon out with a hurricanrana. Kazarian and Sky double team Fenix and Kazarian goes for the cover, but Fenix kicks out. Fenix comes back and drops Kazarian with an arm drag and Pentagon drops Sky with a superkick on the floor. Fenix sends Kazarian to the floor and Pentagon kicks him as well. Pentagon splashes down onto Kazarian as the show heads to a commercial.
Back from the break, Fenix is in control of Kazarian. Fenix delivers a dropkick and goes for the cover, but Kazarian kicks out. Fenix goes for an arm-breaker, but Kazarian makes it to his feet. Kazarian fights back and slams Fenix to the mat with an Angel’s Wings. Sky tags in and takes out Fenix and Pentagon. Sky delivers a right hand to Pentagon and takes him down with a hurricanrana. Sky takes Pentagon out with a suicide dive, but Fenix dropkicks Sky. Kazarian takes Fenix out with a hurricanrana into Pentagon, but Kazarian goes head-first onto the ring apron in the process. Kazarian drops Pentagon with a tornado DDT in the ring and then Sky does the same to Fenix. Sky goes for the cover, but Fenix kicks out. Kazarian tags in, but Pentagon takes him out with a destroyer. Sky kicks Fenix in the face, but Fenix comes back with a cutter. Fenix goes for the cover, but Sky kicks out. Sky and Fenix go for cross-bodies and take each other out. Pentagon power bombs Kazarian through the timekeeper’s table on the outside and gets into the ring. Pentagon delivers a superkick to Sky and then Fenix splashes onto Sky. Fenix goes for the cover, but Sky kicks out.
Pentagon and Feniz try to double team Sky, but Kazarian gets into the ring and takes out Fenix as Sky rolls up Pentagon and gets the pin fall.
