John Morrison returning to WWE after signing new deal

PWInsider.com is reporting that former WWE Intercontinental Champion John Hennigan (John Morrison), 39, has signed a deal to return to World Wrestling Entertainment.

The former Impact champion wrapped up his duties with the company at the Slammiversary pay-per-view and has not been seen on TV ever since.

Morrison, real name John Hennigan, worked for WWE between 2002 and 2011, starting at Tough Enough, then developmental at Ohio Valley Wrestling, before debuting on the main roster with Joey Mercury as MNM. He won the ECW World title, Intercontinental title three times, and the Tag Team titles five times during his first stint.

Following his departure from WWE, Morrison joined Lucha Underground and also wrestled for Lucha Libre AAA before joining Impact Wrestling in 2017. He won the Impact World title once and at Lucha Underground won several titles as well as in AAA.

The 39 year old was part of the Survivor: David vs Goliath season last year.
