9/10/19 WWE 205 Live Recap

The show opens with a recap of the last couple of weeks, where both Humberto Carrillo and Lince Dorado earned a match for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship against Drew Gulak at Clash of Champions. Then, it focuses on Gulak and Tony Nese attacking Carrillo and Dorado last week.

The opening credits roll. Aiden English, Dio Maddin, and Vic Joseph are on commentary.

Match #1 – Tag Team Match: Akira Tozawa and The Brian Kendrick vs. Jack Gallagher and Kushida
Kendrick and Kushida start the match and Kendrick applies a wrist-lock. Kushida counters and applies one of his own, but Kendrick turns it into a front face-lock. Kushida counters into one of his own and then he and Kendrick mat wrestle for a bit before a stalemate ensues. Kendrick backs Kushida into the corner and then runs the ropes, but Kushida drops him to the mat and goes for an arm-bar. Kendrick makes it to the ropes, but Kushida applies a wrist-lock and Gallagher tags in. Gallagher wrenches Kendrick’s arm and rolls him up for one, but Kendrick gets free and tags in Tozawa. Gallagher applies a headlock, but Tozawa takes him down and applies one of his own. Gallagher gets free and goes back to his headlock and then drops Tozawa with a shoulder tackle. Gallagher gets a roll-up for one, as does Tozawa. Kendrick tags in and slams Gallagher into the ring post as Tozawa goes to the floor. Kendrick tosses Gallagher back into the ring and goes for the cover, but Gallagher kicks out at one.
Tozawa tags in and he and Kendrick double-team Gallagher. Tozawa splashes onto Gallagher and goes for the cover, but Gallagher kicks out at two. Tozawa delivers a few shots and tags Kendrick in. Kendrick suplexes Gallagher to the mat and goes for the cover, but he kicks out at two. Tozawa tags in and he and Kendrick slam Gallagher to the mat again. Tozawa and Kendrick kick Gallagher in the chest and Tozawa goes for the cover, but Gallagher kicks out. Kendrick tags back in, but Gallagher gets free and tags in Kushida. Kushida takes out Kendrick and Tozawa and then drops Kendrick with a right hand. Kushida drops Kendrick with a DDT and locks in an arm-bar, but Tozawa breaks it up. Kushida and Gallagher double-team Tozawa, but Kendrick takes out Gallagher. Kendrick rolls up Kushida, but he kicks out. Kendrick locks in the Captain’s Hook, but Kushida counters with a roll-up for two. Kushida sends Kendrick to the floor and goes for the tag, but Kendrick pulls Gallagher to the floor.
Kendrick slams Gallagher into the barricade and Tozawa connects with a cannonball. Tozawa and Kendrick double team Kushida in the ring, but Kushida counters and Tozawa kicks Kendrick. Kushida sends Tozawa to the floor and locks in the Sakuraba Lock and Kendrick taps out.
Winners: Kushida and Jack Gallagher

A vignette for The Singh Brothers airs. They say their time inside the Bollywood studio has been short, but important for their spiritual healing. They say the billions of supporters expect more from them, but they have let them down. They say they deserve more and the next time 205 Live returns to Madison Square Garden, it will feature them.

Mike Kanellis is interviewed backstage. Kanellis says whatever is going on with Tony Nese has nothing to do with him. He says Nese is preparing for the main event while he is doing nothing. He says he is sick of doing nothing and he needs to become Cruiserweight Champion so he can prove to his wife that he is somebody. Maria walks up and says is was pathetic that Mike took advantage of Nese. Maria says he did everything for everyone else and nothing for himself of their family. Maria says she doesn’t need to be here until Mike realizes that.

Match #2 – Tag Team Match: Drew Gulak and Tony Nese vs. Humberto Carrillo and Lince Dorado
Before the match, Gulak, Nese, and Ariya Daivari beat down Carrillo and Dorado. Gran Metalik rushes the ring to even the odds an takes out Gulak, Daivari, and Nese. Carrillo gets a mic and says make it a three-on-three.
Dorado takes out Daivari, Gulak, and Nese on the outside and tosses Daivari back into the ring. Dorado delivers a few kicks and connects with a cross-body. Dorado goes for the cover, but Daivari kicks out at two. Metalik tags in and delivers a double ax-handle and then Carrillo tags in and stomps on Daivari’s hand. Dorado tags in and delivers an ax-handle of his own. Daivari fights back and tags in Gulak. Dorado drops Gulak with an arm-drag and then drops him again with a rana. Daivari knees Dorado in the back and Gulak kicks him to the mat. Gulak goes for the cover, but Dorado kicks out. Nese tags in and drops a leg to Dorado. Nese goes for the cover, but Dorado kicks out. Nese applies a headlock, but Dorado fights out. Nese drops him with a few kicks and goes for the cover, but Dorado kicks out. Daivari tags in and stomps away on Dorado. Daivari slams Dorado into the corner and goes for the cover, but Dorado kicks out again. Daivari pounds away on Dorado and tags in Gulak.
Gulak stomps on Dorado a few times and beats him down in the corner. Nese tags in and chokes Dorado in the corner. Daivari chokes Dorado as well and then Gulak tags in. Gulak goes for the cover, but Dorado kicks out. Gulak slams Dorado into the corner, but Dorado comes back with a hurricanrana. Metalik and Nese tag in and Metalik takes him down with an arm-drag. Metalik delivers a springboard dropkick and then knocks Daivari to the floor. Metalik kicks Gulak in the face, but Nese drops him with a forearm shot on the floor. Nese tosses Metalik back into the ring and goes for the cover, but Metalik kicks out at two. Daivari tags in and he and Nese stomp away on Metalik. Daivari applies a headlock and Gulak tags in. Gulak rocks Metalik like a baby in response to the crowd chanting for a guy holding up his baby, and then slams Metalik to the mat. Nese tags in and stomps on Metalik. Nese applies a body scissors and Daivari tags in. Metalik takes Daivari down with a slingblade. Gulak and Carrillo tag in.
Carrillo dropkicks Gulak and clotheslines him in the corner. Carrillo delivers another dropkick and connects with a handspring moonsault. Carrillo sends Daivari to the floor and then drops Gulak with a springboard headbutt. Carrillo kicks Nese in the face and then drops all three of them with a moonsault on the floor. Carrillo tosses Gulak back into the ring and delivers a missile dropkick. Carrillo goes for the cover, but Nese breaks it up. Dorado drops Nese, Daivari takes out Dorado, Metalik takes out Daivari, and Gulak gets rid of Metalik. Gulak drops Carrillo to the mat and goes for the cover, but Carrillo kicks out. Gulak applies a chin-lock, but Carrillo fights out and rolls Gulak up for two. Gulak stomps Carrillo and tags in Daivari. Nese tags in then and hits the 450 on Carrillo. Nese goes for the cover, but Carrillo kicks out. All six men get into the ring and the heels go for suplexes. The faces fight them off and go for moonsaults, but the heels kicks them in the face. Triple superkicks are delivered and all six men are down.
Dorado and Gulak are the legal men and Gulak drops Dorado with a power bomb. Gulak goes for the cover, but Carrillo breaks it up. Carrillo kicks Nese in the face and Metalik kicks Daivari. Carrillo takes Nese out on the floor and Metalik does the same to Daivari. Gulak goes for the Cyclone Crash, but Dorado counters and sends Gulak to the mat. Dorado hits the Shooting Star Press and gets the pin fall.
Winners: Lince Dorado, Gran Metalik, and Humberto Carrillo
