A five-year-old autistic boy who needs to have surgery to remove a dangerous brain tumor had a disappointing few days when two women were caught on camera stealing two boxes that contained his replica WWE title belts.

The belts were sent to artist Sergio Moriera for customization for the young boy Timmy. While Moriera was at Monday Night Raw this week, his received a notification that his doorbell motion camera was activated and saw the two thieves taking away the boxes. Moreira had agreed to do the work for free when he heard the story of the boy.

“I want them to know they took hope from a 5-year-old boy who is looking forward to that item coming back to him,” he told KIRO 7 local news. “You stole that from him. You broke a child’s heart.”

Moreira was willing to buy new belts for the kid from his own pocket and do what he promised before good news came in. The Edgewood Police Department, in a post on Facebook, provided an update on the case and said that the two suspects did the right thing and returned the stolen belts to Moreira’s residence along with an apology asking for forgiveness.

The case received quite a bit of media attention and it looks like when the suspects realized the items were of a sick 5-year-old, they had a change of heart.

“We are so sorry for taking your stuff. Never in a million years would I have expected I would have stolen from a sick five year old… I am ashamed of what I did,” the note said.

Edgewood PD still aren’t happy though and are asking for the community to spill the beans on the identity of the two thieves.
