AEW Unsure About Acknowledging Jon Moxley’s IWGP US Title Reign

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that it hasn’t been decided whether or not All Elite Wrestling will acknowledge Jon Moxley’s IWGP US Title reign.

The key points are that NJPW has no relation with AEW, but they do have close ties to ROH, which is a competitor for AEW & Want to Start off fresh and build the brand on it’s own

However, a huge percentage of AEW fans are likely aware of Moxley’s title reign, and to not acknowledge it would be to ignore the elephant in the room.

AEW is focused on very few belts with the idea of keeping belts important. They did feature the AAA Tag Team Titles at Double or Nothing, but AAA is a partner of AEW.

It will be interesting to see how the situation is handled when Jon Moxley makes his way to Daytona Beach for Fyter Fest on 6/29.
