WWE roster shake up should favor Smackdown

On the last Wrestling Observer, Dave Meltzer said expect Smackdown to be loaded up with big name talent after this week’s shake up.

This is due to the fact that this Smackdown roster will be the one that debut’s on Fox this fall.

“Raw is fine in its time slot on USA. USA needs Raw more than FOX needs Smackdown. Smackdown is convenient to Fox because during football season they want a sporting event occurring from Thursday-Sunday. Thursday would be football, Friday wrestling, Saturday college Football, and Sunday NFL. Fox is hoping that with the promotion of Smackdown on football days that it will help build the numbers for Smackdown.”
