2/27/19 WWE NXT Results

-Johnny Gargano cuts a promo. He said it has been an interesting few weeks with his debut on Raw and Smackdown and then losing the NXT North American Championship to The Velveteen Dream. He says he failed himself and all of the fans. Tommaso Ciampa interrupts. Ciampa says anytime they are together, they win, but last week, when Gargano was on his own, he lost. Ciampa says it took Gargano a year and a half, but he finally realized that they need each other. Ciampa says they should team up in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, because that’s where it all started for them. Ciampa says it will end with them side by side as champions and extends his hand. Gargano accepts the handshake and Ciampa leaves the ring.

-Ricochet is backstage. He says he and Aleister Black have unfinished business with The Undisputed ERA and says he and Black want in the Dusty Classic since the ERA is in it.

-Later tonight: Shayna Baszler vs. Mia Yim and Keith Lee vs. Dominik Dijakovic

-Gargano and Ciampa leave the building and Candice LeRae meets them. She tells Gargano that she hopes he knows what he’s doing.

1. Vanessa Borne and Aliyah defeated Xia Li and Taynara Conti

-An interview with Velveteen Dream airs, but he is interrupted by The Undisputed ERA. Adam Cole says he is coming for the NXT North American Championship and then says the interviewer is wasting his time. Dream says Cole has a big mouth for being such a little man. Dream says he doesn’t have time for them and walks away.

-Bianca Belair and Io Shirai are arguing backstage about who is going to face Baszler for the NXT Women’s Championship and are eventually pulled apart.

2. Dominik Dijakovic vs. Keith Lee (Double Countout)

-The final four teams for the Dusty Classic are announced: Ricochet and Aleister Black, Oney Lorcan and DannyBurch, #DIY, and Moustache Mountain. The first round matches are: Moustache Mountain vs. The Street Profits, Lorcan and Burch vs. The Forgotten Sons, #DIY vs. The Undisputed ERA, and Black and Ricochet vs. Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel. The tournament begins next week.

-William Regal tweets that Belair and Shirai will battle in two weeks, and the winner will challenge Baszler for the NXT Women’s Championship at NXT TakeOver: New York.

-Sasha Banks and Bayley return to NXT and cut a promo. They say since NXT is where they started, they wanted to bring the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship home. They say they are taking the titles to all the brands and say when they return to NXT again, they may just have to defend the titles.
