AEW’s Big Money Deal with Chris Jericho Turning Heads in WWE

Word of the value on Chris Jericho’s All Elite Wrestling contract has reached WWE, and reportedly shocked them. Wrestling Observer Radio reports that people backstage in WWE learned about the numbers of Jericho’s AEW deal and were “stunned” by its size.

Dave Meltzer noted that the contract isn’t considered on par with John Cena or Brock Lesnar, but would be near the top of WWE’s paylist. AEW is being bankrolled by billionaire Shahid Khan, and the way Meltzer puts it makes it sound like the company isn’t sparing much expense to get talent on board.
