Bumblebee movie with John Cena takes #3 spot for Christmas

Bumblebee, the movie with John Cena in one of the leading roles, finished the weekend in the #3 spot on the box office chart with $21 million. Aquaman and Mary Poppins Returns took the #1 and #2 spot for the Christmas weekend.

The latest flick in the Transformers franchise also did an additional $31.1 million in worldwide box office revenue, sending its total to $52,100,000. Bumblebee opened in around 600 less theaters than any other Transformers movie as well as the two movies which took #1 and #2 in the chart this week.

Bumblebee is expected to finish the five-day Christmas weekend with around $32 million in the United States alone.
