12/17/18 WWE Raw Live Coverage

Good evening everyone! Sean Banner here (@astoriasean on Instagram and Twitter) filling in for a Live Raw Review. Here goes. Enjoy!!

Raw kicks off with the boss, Vince McMahon. He tells the crowd not to boo, and says he can’t run WWE alone. Vince calls out Stephanie, Shane and HHH. They say they will make changes, and the fans are the authority figure. Baron Corbin comes out and says he is excited for a fresh start. Stephanie points out Baron is being booed. Baron says what happened to him isn’t fair and he needs to talk to the McMahon’s. They then cut to commercial. Corbin says he is happy to see the McMahons and pleads for his job. The McMahons then put Corbin in a match vs. Kurt Angle with Heath Slater as special guest referee. The McMahons then add Bobby Roode, Chad Gable and Apollo Crews to the match, and make the match a no DQ match. Kurt Angle picks up the win, then Angle, Roode, Gable and Crews put Corbin through a table.

Commercial Break.

A recap of the issues between Finn Balor and Dolph Ziggler is shown, previewing their match.

Finn Balor beats Dolph Ziggler by DQ after Drew McIntyre interfered and hit both men with a Claymor Kick.

The IC belt is shown, and the announcers talk about Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins.

Dean Ambrose is out with his security. He says the fans should show him respect. Ambrose says Rollins spun out of control and failed the fans. He doesn’t need the fans respect because he has the IC Title. Ambrose says he will take Rollins reputation and drag it through the mud. He wants Rollins to come out and admit he was right. When Rollins doesn’t come out, Ambrose issues an open challenge to Rollins to fight, but not for the belt. Rollins still does not come out. Ambrose then issues an IC Title open challenge. Tyler Breeze answers the challenge.

Dean Ambrose retains the belt after Dirty Deeds. Post Match, Seth Rollins music plays. Rollins disguised as a security guard jumps Ambrose. Ambrose retreats up the ramp.

Charly Caruso interviews Shane. Shane promises change, when Drake Maverick and Authors of Pain interrupt. Maverick requests a rematch for the tag titles. Shane states AOP is not entitled to a rematch as they were handed the belts by Baron Corbin. Shane puts AOP in a fatal 4 way with the B-Team, Lucha House Party and The Revival

Michael Cole states new faces will be coming to Raw

 

Promo for Heavy Machinery, Nikki Cross, EC3, and Lacey Evans

Bobby Lashley and Lio Rush out. Talk about hitting Elias with a guitar. Bobby Lashley then goes into a posedown. Lio talks trash about the Sacramento Kings. Bobby Lashley then moons the crowd.

Elias is then announced, then sneaks out and hits Lashley with a guitar.

A Sami Zayn promo is shown.

AOP vs. B-Team vs. Lucha House Party vs. Revival.

Axel starts vs. Kalisto. Cole mentions Axel’s grandfather, Larry Hennig passing away recently. Dawson tags himself in and takes advantage. Akam is tagged in and continues the assault.

Commercial Break

Return from commercial break, Dash has Kalisto in a Gory Special. Bo Dallas tags himself in. Kalisgo makes a comeback. Dawson tags himself in. Other three teams wind up working together against AOP. The end comes when the Revival hit a Shatter Machine on Bo Dallas.

Charly Caruso interviews Seth Rollins about his TLC Match. Rollins says everything went wrong for him and he heard everything the crowd said. He will right the ship and end Dean Ambrose. Baron Corbin blames Seth for losing his job and turning the locker against him. Rollins then slugs Corbin after he said he would have been the one to take the IC title.

Cole recaps the McMahons taking over Raw.

Commercial Break.

Ronda Rousey out. Michael Cole reviews Rousey interfering in the Triple Threat Women’s Ladder Match from TLC. Rousey says she told Nia Jax she could kiss her hand goodbye, she told Charlotte she would write the next chapter in the story and told Becky she was the wrong one to provoke. Rousey says she is here to define what a real champion is, not to explain her actions at TLC. Rousey says a new tradition should be started and the champion should show up after a PPV and defend the title. The women are arguing backstage. Stephanie tells them enough and to come with her. Stephanie takes the women to the stage and says Ronda will defend the title against the winner of an 8 woman gauntlet match. The first two women are Alicia Fox and Bayley.

Bayley gets the win after a roll up off of an Alicia Fox pin attempt.

Dana Brooke is the next woman in.

Bayley gets the win over Dana Brooke after a Bayley to Belly.

Commercial Break.

Kevin Owens return promo.

Return from commercial. Mickie James vs. Bayley is next.

Mickie James beats Bayley after a DDT.

Ember Moon is up next.

Commercial Break

Ember Moon beats Mickie James with an Eclipse.

Natalya out next.

Natalya over Ember Moon with a rollup.

Ruby Riott out next.

Natalya beats Ruby Riott with a rollup.

Sasha Banks up next.

Natalya wins the gauntlet by making Sasha Banks tap out to the sharpshooter. Natalya will get a title shot vs. Ronda Rousey next week on Raw. Ronda Rousey comes out, hugs Natalya then shakes her hand. Both women leave the ring together.

The announce team preview next week’s Raw.
